Been listening to the skinny podcast and constantly hearing rick broering talk about how bad the aac is and time after time implying the big east is a much superior league. I do think right now the big east is a little better simply because they don’t have Tulane and ecu, but I don’t think it’s by a wide margin at all.

I think eventually the aac will surpass the big east in college basketball as the 4th/5th best conference( depending on the progress of the pac 12)

But Memphis just got the #1 recruit in the nation
UConn has Dan Hurley
Wichita State had 6 kids transfer/ graduate
Temple is a great program and getting a new coach
Smu is coming off probation
Cincy is cincy
Houston has kelvin sampson
UCF has the biggest campus in the nation and gets really good players in football and basketball

Those 8 programs could all win the league any given year

Then you have USF on the rise and Tulsa is never an easy out

I don’t understand rick saying this is a bad league.

Even Tulane has a 4 star commit in 2020 I think. Gardner could make ECU competitive if he improves as an upperclassman. SMU should be better once they get past the scholarship penalties. Things aren't looking to bad for the AAC.

Combined AAC/Big East NET Rankings as of 3/8

6) Houston
23) Cincinnati
25) Villanova
26) UCF
29) Marquette
49) Memphis
54) Creighton
56) Temple
59) Butler
61) Seton Hall
62) St. John's
73) Xavier
77) Providence
80) Georgetown
87) South Florida
89) Wichita State
96) Tulsa
98) DePaul
99) UConn
111) SMU
255) East Carolina

Thank you for posting this. The AAC is on the rise in BB and FB.

I mean Broering is an X homer, obviously. Its surprising hes sunshine and flowers about the BE as opposed to whenever he's on Mo Egger's show he doesn't seem to want to talk about how crappy X is.
