Ohio State football fans don't care about UC enough to hate them. That's just a fact.

UC has guys like Gino Guiduli on their ring of honor. That's kind of why people that support OSU make fun of UC. They say UC has zero tradition. College football is all about tradition. You can't just wear a stupid t-shirt and think it matters after two or three years. That just screams little brother complex.

I agree. I think most OSU fans dont feel any serious threat but I do think we are annoying them. I think they are tired of hearing Mark May saying that UC is the best team in Ohio.

We have been really making some progress and we are going to continue to.

I disagee completely.

Just because fans of UC's team last year say, "we're the best team in the state of Ohio," doesn't mean we have little brother complex.

For the record, I hate the whole "little brother complex" rebuttal. Does this mean that all other teams in the state of Ohio that experience nice seasons will have little brother complex if they view their team as better?

If anything, that "stupid t-shirt" was a burn on OSU arrogance and their attitude of "we're the only school in Ohio that matters."

I agree that us saying we could beat them last year was not little brother syndrome. He were ranked ahead a good portion of the year and they lost to Purdue and a 7 win USC team at the shoe.

We could have beat them last year without a doubt. Two good teams and it would have been fun.

The shirts and Ohio's only bcs team were lame.

WLW ads were funny.

What's really going to be interesting is, if we have continued success, is how much OSU will pay us to buy out those 2 games on the schedule in the horseshoe. Better be more than 1mil this time, and you know they're going to do it because they haven't lost to another Ohio team since '21 and we almost beat them last time at PBS with "Ahem" Gino Giuduigli.

OSU was not a good team last year. USC team that was below average came into their house and won.

Yet they beat Oregon who smashed USC. They beat Iowa who won a BCS game, and they beat Penn State who beat LSU. They improved greatly over the year were as UC got worse. UCONN was a close game, Pitt was a close game, and well then theres the Florida game. I feel like UC football fans are like XU basketball fans, they think there team is way better than they actually are.

Funny because we feel the same way about OSU fans. We can talk about this. I am realy interested in your perspective.

Uconn was an absolute blowout halfway through and should have ended 10 (not too mention we were using our backup qb). Pitt was a top 15 team on the road and we won despite all the distractions.

OSU did beat Oregon who was not all that good. Lets not overrate that win too much. Iowa barely beat indiana and well basically everyone.

OSU had a average year for them. A year that included a rose bowl win and top 5 finish. They are an absolute power.

Dont under value what UC did though. Going undefeated with damn good wins @ OSU (who hadnt lost an OOC game at home in 15 years) WVU, @ Pitt (top 15 team).

UC did finish within the top 10. Both teams were very good.

Also, what do you consider your school? OSU or UC just for the record?

I am speechless, just absolutely speechless. You have bought the bucknut kool-aid I see. That's a damn shame for someone with a degree from UC--- a degree that fans of OSU will tell you is not as good as a degree from their school. Why do you root for a school that does not respect where you obtained your education? Being a UC grad and an OSU football fan is just like going to Elder and and rooting for St. X sports teams.

UC took on and beat all comers last year until they played what was clearly the second best team in the country. Pitt and UCONN were very good teams last year. It is no shame to play them in close contests. I should not have to tell you as a UC alum that UC was screwed in that UF game before they even got on the field. Consider it was Tebow's last game, Meyer had a heat attack/resigned prior to the game (only to come back), BK blind-sided the team by heading to ND, Quinn leading the team while searching for other jobs and not to mention, the actual huge gap in the depth of talent between the schools.

Had nothing to do with any of that... UF was the better team, period.

All those things played a factor. He even said florida had a clear advantage in personal you clown.

UC absolutely could have beaten Oregon. Only team beating Florida was Bama.

Actually it had something to do with all of that including Florida being the better team.

Exactly Jason. UCgrad94 commented UC "got worse". It was not a matter of UC "getting worse", it was a matter of all of the issues I mentioned and UF being that good.

The football team wasn't any good when I was there and I still went to every game. It makes it that much more rewarding now that they are good. I understand having another team but there is no reason UC should play second fiddle especially to a UC graduate. Enjoy it. Don't bash it.

What OSU fan devalues a UC degree? I got hired by someone with a OSU degree. A HUGE fan. I think you might be taking this fandom thing a little to far. Most people don't care in day to day matters about this debate. If you think people from Ohio State don't respect UC because of a message board you are wrong, imo.
