I heard that it could be probable he is out for the year. IF that is the case do you think that would hurt our chances with any recruits, even the 2015 ones?

Could be but since I don't want to even give that potential scenario a modicum of thought, I can't see it happening

I think we are good with the 2015 recruits as they have all signed a LOI. I think if he is held out for the season our 2016 recruiting will be crushed. We already have enough issues to sell against, let alone a coach that has a major medical issue. Until Mick is back, competing coaches will tell recruits that Cronin may never be able to coach again.

We are fortunate to already have 3 signed for 2015.

I don't think cronin or u.c. ever crosses a competing coaches mind when talking to a recruit. The only way this hurts 2016 is he won't be able to get out to see kids in person for a bit.

I think he is saying we should sellout Saturday. There is still time. Get your tickets. Saturday is going to be tough.

When we see Mick back on the sidelines, I really believe we will see an entirely different coach. Things like this changes people and how they respond/react to situations. By no means am I inferring that it is a bad thing, I just think that Coach will be a much different guy roaming the sidelines whenever he returns.

If he can't yell enough to turn himself and his victim red in the face anymore I will understand but will nonetheless be disappointed.

Do you have any examples of coaches that had a health issue and came back differently? IE changed their approach?

Not approach, just demeanor on the sidelines is what I was referring to. I just think it is a very expected result after hearing that you have a brain aneurysm. At least it would be for me...

I was just thinking of coaches that had a serious health issue and I don't think any of them changed their demeanor. Huggs, Lavin and Urban didn't (sarcasm).

I don't believe there will be any difference in his coaching. His coaching had nothing to do with his condition and after his surgery his coaching will not cause the condition to return. Not a doctor here , just a lumberjack!

He's not expected to have surgery. They'll likely just monitor the aneurysm to make sure it isn't getting bigger.

I have mixed emotions about how Mick is on the sidelines. Part of me loves it and I believe it's why he gets every drop of effort from his players, but sometimes I wish he'd teach more rather than yell and be so animated at the players and refs. But then again that's what assistants are for.
