Any news on Cronin,?

I'm a big Mick fan, but the team has looked A LOT looser the last 2 games after looking terrible against VCU. I don't know if this has anything to do with Mick not being there, but I've experienced this phenomenon in my own professional life where the head goes down, everyone relaxes and actually becomes better and more productive. Bill Simmons calls it the Ewing Theory. Let's hope this happens here.

Looks like he is still going to recruit just won't be involved at practice and on the sideline.

He is going to putting in a lot of time in the film room I bet, we could see some really good game plans going forward if Larry Davis and company implement them well.

I agree completely with that! We will surely need that this Saturday. I hope our fans really rally and come to these home games. That is the best support we can do for Cronin and the team.

This could be a good thing for the 2016 recruiting class. He certainly has a lot more time to be out of the city on recruiting visits. He can create game plans from anywhere. This class will be very key to our near future success with 5 available scholarships to offer. We need a top 15 class in my eyes. I know rankings don't mean much, but we really need some immediate talent and not project players. The facilities are in the works to be upgraded, talks of Big 12 looking at us and we have demonstrated continued success in athletics here.

I noticed a difference in play during the NC State game as well. They are probably a lot more relaxed with their "boss" temporarily gone. I do think he yells a little too much and some players might play with some fear of being pulled from the game if they mess up. Confidence is so important in basketball and his style might scare some kids into thinking too much.
 
Interesting turn of events. Mick's health comes first so if this is the decision that has to be made I wish the best in a full recovery. I'm curious since he will still be recruiting if flying could possibly not be good for him. An aneurysm as I understand it is a swollen blood vessel and flying with the increased pressure tend to not be good for certain health conditions.

I agree Pakman. I also like the way Davis mixes up defenses. For example, he started out the Wagner game is zone and played it a couple of possessions. I like the multiple defenses because it gives the opposing coach something to coach for as well. If the defense works well ie zone, go back to it later when you need a couple stops or use it when their personnel call for it, ie many outside shooters out of the game. Davis is doing good. We all know Mick is behind the scenes. Mick is also a big part of these wins.
