Bearcats 14-0 for first time since 1988-1989 season

The negativity on some of these post are getting old and tiring. If you do not like who we play, deal with it. You do not need to come on boards and show people how much you can complain over things you can not control. Breaking down food prices??!! Are you serious? Get a better job or eat something before the game so that 3.25 pretzel won't bitter you so much. Do these better even know/like basketball? Because if you did, you would realize we have a good team, that plays good fun basketball. I remember going to the restroom after the game last night and this guy next to me said, "Man, it feels good to be 14-0" A guy next to me said in a drunk hillbilly tone said, "Yeah, 14 wins of nobodies." I told him to grow up, its sad people are filled with so much pessimistic bullshi*. How about you just enjoy what is going on.

Seriously though, I realize kids are on winter break right now, but they haven't been there all year nor the past few years. And when I was a student I think I heard that 90% of the students were local kids and commuters, so out of upwards of 40,000 students, lets even say half are in town, there's still a good number of kids that could be taking advantage of free tickets. The students have been tremendous in supporting the football program the last few years so I just don't understand why we don't have better support from the students.

I guess the apathy translates to the rest of fans too. I, sadly, missed the game because I literally couldn't find anyone to go with me. Then I caught crap for watching the game on TV at the party I was at last night. Looks like I need a few new friends who share my diehardedness (that's a word, right?)for my Bearcats.

I expect much bigger turnouts from the student section as the season continues. I can excuse the poor attendance last night for that reason, the DePaul crowd was decent.

I agree, I just hate hearing the excuse that kids are out of school when most of them live in town. I have a feeing last night was more about it being New Years Eve and partying than anything else.

14-0 is great and it is encouraging; but knowing and liking basketball, it's pretty obvious that we maybe own 1 victory over a team that makes the NCAA tournament. If winning every game is the objective, maybe we should be in the ECAC or Horizon league.
If we win half our Big East games, the season will be a success, and we have gotten off to a good start, 2-0.

Ive been to the games, but in general other fans don't want to go through all that to watch UC play a poor schedule up till this point.

All 14 wins were against real teams. The Bearcats are undefeated and your Xavier loving ..... is going to have to deal with it.

Hmm read my post again. From what Ive read heard on radio, in person and on blogs, were my reasons for people not attending games. I have been to them.


So save your breath for cooling your porridge.

Secondly, this time last year this UC Bearcat team went into Maui unraked and left top 25 in the country. AND we all know how that season ended. It takes more than beating up on rinky dinks to get people to believe...

Your comment about better jobs is uncalled for. Unfortunatly there are people in the world these days on food stamps and unemployment checks that have more money than the hard working American.. Please son

Check them out, Tuesday on National Television. The fact that they have to sell things to get by, means they aren't handed thousand dollar handshakes. And yes, they were dumb by doing so. Braxton Miller takes over in 2011

No it doesn't. It just means they are greedy and want more. Miller will redshirt and will not be taking over the Buckeye offense in 2011.

First of all, get off a BEARCAT site if you want to stick up for O$U football. Who cares if Pryor was not redshirted? Who cares what Braxton Miller does next year. Go to Bucknuts.com and discuss this to your hearts desire. All you do on here is minimize what the Bearcat basketball has accomplished so far, and then want to discuss your precious Suckeyes. Why not follow your screen name, and if you are ready to go, be done with it and go already.

I am ready2go.. My Buckeyes Re-Load year in and year out.

2nd, you and great1 brought it up. I defend college athletes. Esp. when college sports is a business and not a 2 way street. Refer to my post in the football section of this site.
