I know for a fact that the Big 10 network put several OSU games (I believe the Wisconsin game a few years back) on the Big 10 network to force Time Warner Cable and others to succumb to their terms and pick up the network. I remember hearing people here in Columbus complaining about it.

As for two top 25 teams, there haven't been a lot of those games in the Big 10 in recent years (at least between the marquee programs). Michigan has been down. Wisconsin and Ohio State really were the only two consistently ranked in the conference. The Big 10 is pretty bad so there aren't many of those games. Yes, ABC and ESPN still have rights and still get big games. If you pay attention you should notice that more and more games are being televised by the Big 10 Network. In fact, at least on DirecTV, there is a BTN Alternate channel in which two games are being played simultaneously. It is only a matter of time until the Big Ten moves all their games to the network. They still need to get the network picked up nationally, but when that happens, ESPN knows they will have to either put up a lot of money or not have any rights to the conference. If you don't think the BTN pissed off ESPN, you weren't paying close enough attention.

I asked for a Marquee matchup, as you stated previously. I'm sure ESPN is sweating bullets that they lost the Iowa vs Tennessee Tech game and Michigan vs Youngstown St game to the Big Ten Network.

I was simply saying that the Big Ten Netowork has not had one this year or in a while. ESPN could care less about Minnesota vs Youngstown State. Currently there are 5 teams in the BCS top 25 from the Big East. (Doesnt sound too bad to me) The Big Ten Network does not have one of those matchups.

And as an Ohio State Football fanatic, I pay close attention to the Big Ten.

The Yankess have their own station as well. But if you pay close enough attention you will notice that ESPN does not shut up about them.

As an "Ohio State Football Fanatic" you should have noticed the change in how ESPN has treated OSU specifically in the last several years. OSU used to be an ESPN darling. They could do no wrong. Even before the Tressel scandal, ESPN has stepped back from OSU and focused much more on schools like Texas. If there wasn't a BTN, ESPN would have been approaching OSU about a Buckeye Network.

That will happen when you get blown out by the SEC in back to back BCS Championship games. And the only one I really see bad mouthing the program on a consistent basis is Mark May, and thats because he has received threats from fans after predicting Ohio St would lose to Miami by 7 tds in the 02-03' Title Game.

And no, I was not one of those fans

Fair enough. I didn't mean to get off topic. I just get frustrated by ESPN's "Holier than Thou" attitude when they are anything but objective.

Ohio State got smoked twice by the SEC in the BCS Championship game.

I don't even know what your point is here as, per usual with you, it has nothing to do with what I said.

I hate OSU and loved those games. The difference? Big 10 champ got killed by the National Champions....Big East potential champ got killed by a current win less SEC team.

One of the worst teams in the SEC killed the Big East champ. The best team in the Nation killed the Big 10 champ...see a difference? Don't be ignorant.

Dont be ignorant but you have yet to aknowledge this Tennessee team is not the one we played. Losing major componets of there team including star QB and WR.

But that wouldn't help your arguement so we will pretend thats not the truth.

+1. He is ignoring the fact that the Tennessee team that's winless in the SEC is not the one we played. They lost their 2 best offensive players on a team that's very offensively minded. If we lost to Stanford OOC and Andrew Luck got hurt during practice the next week, causing them to go winless in the Pac-12, would you be making this argument? Same thing. If we played that Tennessee team now we would stomp the life out of them.

Not the same thing.

Are you comparing Andrew Luck to Tyler Bray??

No....

Tyler Bray was responsible for a higher percentage of the UTenn offense.

Not being funny. He was.

And stop the lame Luck is way better than Bray. No one is saying that. The point was made because everyone can associate with Andrew Luck and how crucial losing your best player would be.

I am not excusing how we played at Tenn. Not going to cut it and players and coaches would own to that but the point some are missing is that this Tenn team is not the one we played in September due to injuries. Their best players are out.

Ok. you answered my question. Its not the same.

Can everyone agree that regardless of the injuries to Tenn they weren't going to be a very good team this year? I believe they played Florida after UC and they were getting beaten pretty soundly in that game before Bray and their WR went down. Florida is not that good this season. A healthy Tenn was not going to compete with Bama, Florida, South Carolina, LSU, ect, ect ,ect. Maybe a team that goes 7-5 or 6-6 and gets a bowl game but nothing more. The blowout loss to Tenn was a bad loss for UC in terms of national perspective. You cannot argue that point.
