We are at 41.

In two days we have gone from 24 to 41. Not Bad. Yesterday we actually had 80 people on at 1 time.

Keep Spreading the word!

I think we're going in the right direction. Greatone, adrock, alum1, 32, and others are helping to lead the way.

IMO this site could be way bigger and better than BCN...

And I think the lack of censoring is the key to growth.

I am also a member of a couple of homebrewing forums. The first forum I joined is the largest homebrewing forum on the web, but the mods are a little trigger happy to delete posts and pull out the ban hammer. The second one I found started out very small, but the admin was committed to letting people speak their mind without repercussion. As a result that second forum has grown by leaps and bounds over the past year, and continues to do so. I see a lot of parallels between that situation and what we've got here.

Here's hoping we keep growing, but not in such a way that we don't feel like a community anymore. Right now it feels like we're just a bunch of guys hanging out over a beer, talking sports. I hope it stays that way.

I think the layout is esthetically pleasing to many. I also believe people are looking for ease of use in finding recruit's profiles. The fact that members here still question if a topic is 'ok' lends creedence to the over-moderation concern that has been echoed greatly at several sites.

Basically, 32...while it's not my goal to disrupt anyone's business, I do agree with you.

To my recollection and knowledge, not one thread has been deleted, and I've only moved two threads, which I didn't want in the recruit profile section. For the recruit profile forum: the idea is to have only profiles.

I'm ok with other fans here, or discussion 'outside the box'. Bearcattalk is about football/hoops recruiting and the teams, but I don't mind if someone posts stuff on the Bengals in an NFL thread. That's the idea behind the Huggins Inn and Pro Sports forums. Keep that stuff there (at a minimum, hopefully), and focus on UC matters primarily. If someone doesn't want to see a thread such as the Twitter Files, then it's easily avoided.

BTW-I'm open to ideas, so feel free to let me know. So far, I like the way our site is going, and pretty much want to keep the same feel going forward.
There you have it.

Exactly. I'm a big fan of the recruiting layout, between different forums for the different years in recruiting, as well as different threads for each player. It really is easy to look at different recruits that way. I also do think the site has a good clean look to it, as I've said before but thought it was worth mentioning again.

Being a Senior Moderator I think it is so important to let bearcat nation talk about what THEY feel is important and not what I feel is important.

I love all the bearcat sites but the moderation in some topics is insane.

I really hope and believe we can self moderate for the most part. The moderators are here to make the site better and grow and not to limit and control or censor.

It's growing, but not while American Idol is on. Guests plummeted when 8:00 neared. LOL

Speaking of American Idol, what do you think of possible rumors of Howard Stern being a judge. I do not watch American Idol, but if he was a judge I would tune in.

I don't see how he has the time, and he's also in NY. Don't see it happening unless it's as a guest judge.
