wow, Marquette is turning the ball over rapidly.

This is OT but one of the most comical points I had a X fan say to me is that they were worried about Mack leaving to go to a "bigger" school. Please believe I ripped him with multiple points on why I could not stop laughing. After he went there, I realized it is pointless to try and talk with them.
If Pittsburgh ends up losing this game does Dixon start to get the reputation of a coach that can't win in the tournament?
Followed by an even BIGGER Boneheaded play. UNBELIEVABLE!! How do you foul in either of those situations? At least the UC game should start on time!
Why would you have anyone on the free throw line if you were Pitt at the end of the game. After the first make, Dixon should have pulled everyone off the line, as only bad things can happen. Just a lapse in coaching acumen.
Who would have thought that Marquette, the 11th BEast team in, would have made it to the sweet 16? I surely didn't see that one coming.
I also didn't see Marq and UConn being the last of the BEast standing, especially at this stage of the tournament.
Richmond? Seriously???
I'd really like to see a VCU/Kansas matchup in the southwest bracket. VCU is a great case-in-point of a team playing with a chip on their shoulders.
and finally................
Kuck Fentucky.
This Hating on the Big East is killing me. Wilbon was at it on PTI and everyone else seems to be saying the same thing. Only two teams left out of 11. Yet none of them mention that two big east teams were knocked out by other big east teams.
But like you said, The only questionable team selected to the tournament from the Big East was Marquette and I'd say the sweet 16 berth answered all questions about that.
It can go both ways though- what if they didn't have those four teams playing each other? it may have helped getting 2 teams to the sweet 16 rather then just 1 or even 0.
