How could an intelligent person think otherwise? How can the same person run into doors and coffee tables with regularity? How can a coffee table break 7 ribs? Inquiring minds want to know.

How could and intelligent person think John Reik would bring a championship to UC? How could that same person think Lance Stephenson would bring back the glory days to UC? Or perhaps, Teague to commit to UC? Inquiring minds want to know.

When you pass out drunk you can't brace yourself for the fall. It probably wasn't someone else breaking his ribs like it was with the two black eyes. If anything he would have broken his wrists from the fall if he truly tripped over something. Breaking his ribs means he didn't try to brace his fall.

I don't like to support Ralph because he is a bit off the wall, but I'm 99.99% certain he was just being sarcastic with the Riek comments. Also, if I remember correctly The Ralph was not a big fan of Stephenson signing with UC. Now Teague to UC, that's a different story. He has been saying that all along. Then again, so did the_one_uc.

Teague told Mick he was coming to UC. Unfortunately, Worldwide Wes changed his mind.

In my opinion, anyone who believes Huggs broke 7 ribs falling into a coffee table also believes in the tooth fairy. In my opinion, someone taking a Louisville Slugger to him is much more likely to have happened.

Unfortunately I think the most likely scenerio is Huggs was smashed, passed out, fell on the coffee table and broke some ribs. Unless Huggs was a part of Ocean's 14 and this time they got caught, I think the Louisville Slugger idea is a little off.

In my opinion, anyone who believes in anything ralphy says is a complete clown. In my opinion, the ralpy is the kiss of death to UC basketball.

Report: Huggins Fell Because of Medication

West Virginia officials say basketball coach Bob Huggins’ fell and broke seven ribs after he took medication on an empty stomach and felt lightheaded.

“He said he kind of stood up quickly and apparently had a bit of lightheadedness and tripped – and I don’t know if he tripped, per se – but he fell down and hit the edge of a table,” West Virginia AD Oliver Luck told the Charleston Daily Mail.

WVU spokeswoman Becky Lofstead on Friday confirmed the report to The Associated Press. She wouldn’t say what the medication was.

Huggins, 56, fell in a Las Vegas hotel room last Friday as he was packing to head to Florida for another AAU event. He was originally said to have broken four ribs. It was later reported he had broken seven.

Luck and West Virginia president Jim Clements told the paper alcohol was not a factor.

“Believe me, it’s probably something Coach Huggins could care less about, as could I, in terms of what other people think,” Luck said.

“I, like most other knowledgeable observers, think Bobby is a tremendous coach. Is he a choir boy? Probably not, but that to me is really immaterial at this point. I certainly have no reason to have any suspicions. I’ve got a lot of trust in Coach Huggins and I believe what he tells me.”

In 2002, Huggins suffered a massive heart attack at the Pittsburgh airport.

Last summer, he got two black eyes when he walked into a door in the middle of the night.

In 2008, he was checking phone messages on an airport tarmac when he tripped on a cone, fell and hit his head.

“I’ve learned over the years that a lot of coaches put a lot of pressure on themselves,” Luck told the paper. “It’s become a very demanding profession, particularly with regard to a high-profile sport, and certainly Bob is maybe the most high-profile guy we have coaching at West Virginia. But I also think he’s been doing it for a long time, and I think he understands what he needs to do to decompress every now and then.

“Am I worried about his health or his condition? Yes, but I’d also say I’m worried about every coach at West Virginia’s health and condition because we have very good coaches. They all have good motors and go pretty hard.”

Jason while that may be the truth, no one will believe it... least not on this website who is Anti Bob Huggins and prefers to be in the age of darkness, losing, like the greatone, at a rapid pace.

I could care less if alcohol was involved or not.

Just like when Bob coached here, I did not care about graduation rates, off the court issues... anything.

I want a basketball coach, not a babysitter. These players are adults who can choose what they do on and off the court. If they choose not to graduate, o well. If they choose to get arrested, o well. These people are getting a free education, if they choose to throw that away that is their problem not the coaches.

No one in my college life coached me through school. That is not the job of a head basketball coach, it simply isnt.

Bob Huggins won games, Mick Cronin has not. Losing is getting very old and I'm not sure thats going to change anytime soon.

way to avoid the question.

ask the recruits and players if that isn't in the job of a college coach. obviously you don't pay attention.

ps - huggy bear ain't coming back.

I fully understand the fact that Bob Huggins is not coming back. Its meaningless, I want to win games. Im tired of waiting for the wins to show up.

Bob won games, Mick has not. Bob coached basketball. Mick can coach life all he wants.

Pathetic.

Who was in the Final Four this year?

If he ain't coming back and people get their panties in a bunch whenever someone talks good about Huggs...why is it ok to speculate and degrade the man?

He's a basketball coach. He's won a ton of games. He's made the final four multiple times. Won many conference championship. He has done what he was paid to do very well. I would think the last few years would have made some people realize this.

Guess what? If Mick doesn't win, he won't be coming back for long. 2 years...win or hit the road.

Quick question: Are you a UC alumni or go to UC?

Again, you want to follow a team that it's only job is to win basketball games, follow the NBA. This is college. Coaches have bigger roles than just coaching them at basketball and the players have more responsibilities than just playing basketball. If you don't like it, follow the NBA.

Because the talking good about Huggins is done in a way to degrade UC. Simple as that.

It's not rocket science to why some people don't like him. One, he is the current coach of a rival program. Two, he has no ethics or morals. Some people don't look past that.

As for Cronin, I would think just about everyone besides Ralph understands that Mick needs to win, pretty much this year, or else they need to find a new coach. But as of now he is the coach and crying about Huggins isn't going to change that.
