Pead is very good, but OSU never offered him. They had Saine and Herron
This shows how tough it is to recruit. You could end up with a Saine or Pead...

Pead fits our system very well. I am not so sure he would be as effective on OSU.
It would be interesting to see. I will say UC does a better job of recruiting guys that fit into their system. OSU gets running qb's, but then try and run a pro-style offense. Why? Designed running plays for one of your best running threats is eliminated that way.
Same goes for the backs. UC gets guys who are quick side to side and can then get up field. It fits UC's sytem well. You dont see them recruiting big bruisers. Smart recruiting
OSU has also been very predictable in games which hurts them against the faster teams down south. You can win that way in the slow and crappy Big 10 but not against the better and faster teams. Pryor could have been OSU's Pat White had Tressel been willing to change his offense. He was way too conservative and it probably cost OSU a shot at playing for a national title a couple more times.
Butch Jones has shown that he can recruit the players he needs to run his system. I have been really impressed with the improvement of the defense this year and the way the young receivers have really stepped up, specifically McClung and Chisum.
Stanford to Oregon and Washington to OSU. I didn't expect either one to come to UC to be honest but I had hoped that maybe Washington would change his mind after going to the UC-WVU game.
