Carleton Exhibition

Maybe some of you mere mortals overreacted, I was very clear about my position with Lawrence. He is going to be a very good player down the road, but for this year I never have expectations for a freshman. For the record, I believe Caupain will play a bigger role than Lawrence this year.

O, I agree 100% and MC has tempered where Lawrence is and what he will be for awhile now. Lots of potential but he has a handful of games under his belt in a span of a couple years. He'll be fine in time.

I read an article earlier today posted on BCN about the Bellarmine game (sorry I forget the website who wrote it). The writer made a very good point about why we may have only shot 9 three's in the Carleton game and why that may change tomorrow. Ballarmine plays zone and Carleton plays man. The writer felt that was a good strategy by Mick to pick two teams with different D's for our two exhibition matches and I would have to agree 100%.

Give them two different looks before our first game. Our O style will be dictated somewhat by the D scheme. With that being said I think overall we will still try to slash the lane a lot more this year instead of jacking up threes...but that one game will not be a good enough sample size of course. It will be interesting to see what our plan is against zone with our new players.

Will we see more of KJ, DM and JDIII? We are probably going to need more than just SK as a decent outside shooting threat.
