Cash

When Cash plays like that we are a very good team. Hope Parker is alright for Sunday's game. We need him.

IMO Cash was money only because he was hitting his outside shots. He did have a couple good drives to the basket but honestly I don't think he did a great job of running point. Obviously if he is hitting those shots I will take it but he needs to play better defense and control the game better.

Wow, 1 turnover and I thought he played good defense last night. You must be the one sitting behind me constantly telling Mick to put someone else in at point.

Nope, but I'm sure I'm overly critical. Granted his 1 turnover does really stick out to me but I didn't realize he only had one. I just wish he was a PG that you want to have the ball in his hands at the end of games. If you notice the ball would go to Dixon because Mick didn't feel comfortable with Cash bringing it up. He also almost airballed his FT attempt because he was so nervous. And he picks up his dribble with the slightest pressure...BUT I still think he is clearly the best PG on the team, I just wish he'd realize that. He shouldn't be letting Yancy bring the ball up the court. With the shot clock winding down, he should be the one going to get the ball....

I thought Siva got to the rim anytime he wanted last night, and that was while being no threat to score from the outside. Fortunately for UC their big men at least made it somewhat difficult on Siva to finish in the paint.

I like Cash, but take away those long bombs that he won't be making with consistency and I'd call it an average game. But he did make them last night, and that was huge.

This can not be a serious comment....

Dead serious....I'm not saying he was terrible, so don't go getting your panties all bunched up. I just want him to control the game like a PG. And I don't think I'm that far off saying his defense wasn't great. Did you happen to watch Siva take it to the whole all game long?

Basic scouting report on Louisville to beat them: You have to make shots to get them out of their zone, and you cant turn the ball over and allow them to get into transition. Our point guard hit 6 three's all of which were good shots. Turned the ball over only once, and once again outplayed Siva on both ends of the floor. Our defensive game plan was to switch on their guards and not let them hit 3's. Cash and the rest of our guards did an exceptional job on defense last night. Cash played the best game of the year and your assessment is "He wasnt terrible" I just find that more than mildly annoying. Go cats!

Also this was the plan:

University of Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin’s instructions before the game were music to Cashmere Wright’s ears.

“Coach told us there’s no offense, no plays, just play,” Wright said. “I felt like that was a very comfortable situation for me, not worrying about mistakes, just going out there and playing.”

Sounds like he followed the scouting report perfectly on offense

Alright, whatever. If you think they did any exceptional job on Siva than there isn't any point in arguing. Some of you just get your panties so tightly bunched up with the slightest bit of criticism that you can't walk straight for days.

You really like that panty comment. You are criticizing our player, the player that was the best on the floor last night.... I just dont understand why that is a point of emphasis. Even worse the criticism is off base. I'll shut up now but I think we as fans do way too much criticizing and not enough complimenting of our own damn players.

It's the point of emphasis because this thread is about Cash. What's difficult to understand? I put my thoughts on him out there. I actually thought Gates and Jackson had the biggest impact, but Cash hitting his threes were right there with him. Again, Cash played well but it was because he was hitting his outside shots, which was great...my point was you can't rely on those outside shots night in and night out from him so my hope is he becomes better at running the team. As a veteran PG, it's his team and he should be taking control of it in late game situations....your last sentence sums it up, you just don't like and apparently can't handle, any criticism of UC. Sorry I'm not a cheerleader for you.

I can handle it and will give it out when necessary, I just adamantly disagree with your assessment and think credit should be given when it is due. Hats off to Cash for playing his best game of the year and the rest of them team for an outstanding effort.

Wright wasn't bad on Siva, Guyn got beat basically every time he was in the game.

Siva made about 3 out of control amazing (lucky if you will) shots. Yes he did get by his man but for the most part we picked him up pretty well. Gates was in great position on each of those hail mary lay ups Siva threw up and in. Siva and Cash play a different game...but there is no doubt who you wanted on your team last night.

My hat goes off to Siva...but even he would say a couple of those would rarely go in.

I definitely agree with your Guyn comment, but I don't think Cash played good D on Siva. Much better than Guyn though.

Noway UC wins that game without cash. not a chance. Dude played awesome.

Umm...of course, he scored 22 points. I think everyone is missing my point so I'll drop it.

Is someone really criticizing Cashmere Wright after last night's game? Huge 3s, 1 Turnover and Awesome on D. We clearly need him if we're going anywhere this year.

When he goes out of the game, the other team outscores us. That happened every single time Cash went to the bench last night. Guyn has promise but the team needs Cash out there as much as possible.

22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and only 1 Turnover. Peyton Siva also had 4 turnovers and scrored 14 (at least 4 of which were scored on Guyn) How does anyone criticize Cash after that performance?

Read the effing thread for christ sake. This board has the reading comprehension of four year olds. Where did anyone suggest that the team would be better off with Cash out or that this team didn't need him?

However, with some of you saying awesome D, it's clearly you don't have a clue about basketball. However good his game was, his D was clearly not awesome. I'm even a big Cash fan. Been one since he arrived on campus. Doesn't mean I see everything through rose colored glasses like most on here.
