Honestly, is there anything that makes you believe we will turn it around this year? We have soooo many problems it's not even funny.
- Can't block anybody, even struggled against ISU
- Coverage is way too soft, we don't blitz or put any pressure on opposing QBs
- Playcalling is straight terrible IMO. Throwing sideline to sideline won't get you anywhere. When we threw downfield, look what happened.
- No depth at all at any position.
- How many penalties have we committed? Silly false starts and illegal formations that have costs us big time(false start on 3rd and 1, Cobb not lining up on the line of scrimmage on Woods big gain)
- Don't like Butch's coaching style so far. Before half, 1 minute left and 3 timeouts, I at least thought we would have taken a couple shots down the field or something. I know BK would have, but then again, our offense last year was far suprerior to this unit.
- And I know it was a 3 possession game when down 30-13, but I was hoping Butch would at least try an onside kick. With 4 minutes left, you never know what could happen. Plus it's always good to at least practice these things. Then to top it off, he decides to kick the onside kick with 40 seconds left. I would have just liked them to not throw in the towel that soon and work on much needed things.
Didn't think I would say this but I'm now looking forward to basketball season and recruiting rather than this football season.
