Cats win 25-24

LMAO. It could be possible lol. I agree Mick's game plan is going to be a grind out win since they have some legit scorers. I hope its not in the 50's because they have scorers and in a close game, more times than not, it will go against us. We need to score points tonight to win. There is no reason we can't score 70 points and still play tough as$ defense. But something is telling me, that won't happen.

They have already proven they can. In the two biggest wins of the season they scored 78 and 77 and held both Iowa St. and Oregon under 38% shooting.

Only a 6.5 point favorite tonight. DePaul isn't as bad as they used to be, but this is still a game you should win by double-digits.

Bring home a road win and I'm fine with that. May need blood pressure medicine while watching it but I'll celebrate the win.

I agree. I think this one is going to be more tough than the Rutgers game. This arena will be empty and boring. I hope it doesn't lull our players while DePaul is use to it. Melvin and Young are pretty beasty and if some of their 3's drop they could get some more confidence which would not be good. You know its going to be a slow painful grind of a game. A bigger question, what is it going to take for Mbodj to stop getting really cheap quick fouls. Driving me nuts.

That's what I am saying and yet we haven't seen that kind of offense since. That is what is really irritating me. I am begging to go back to it.

It was actually the defense that fueled the scoring in those games. We had 21 steals and forced 38 turnovers in the two games. It's been a while since we've seen numbers like that.

It also helped that we made 41 of 52 FT. Simply getting to the line will help solve a lot of the scoring woes - just look at the Pitt and Rutgers games.

Exactly, and lets see points off these turnovers directly. Not just walking the ball up the court after a steal and getting in our half court "set"

This team will have success when they get easy buckets off transition from turnovers.

This team will have success in the half court once the guards start penetrating the defense and kicking for open looks. As good as Cash has been this year, the biggest knock on him has been his unwillingness to drive by his defender early in games. There is too much dribbling from all the guards outside the three point line without putting pressure on the defense. Rubles and Parker have been the most willing drivers this season. We need Cash and SK to aggressively go to the basket more. This will also help get the team to the free throw line and should open up shooters and get more easy baskets.

The problem, IMO, isn't the offense but rather the execution of it. I think UC can cause DePaul some problems with their pressure D tonight and I would expect that to result in some easy buckets. I think UC scores 72 tonight and wins by 12.

First must win of the season.

I hope Cleveland Melvin doesn't go off. He always seems to against us.

Getting to the ft line and scoring is a major way to score when you aren't shooting well. Even if you're 1 for 2from the line it's better than no points off a missed shot.

Yup. Dude looks like a top 5 pick in the NBA draft against us.
No doubt. I was bored at work and youtubed depaul vs cincinnati and watched highlights of the past few years games. He made ridiculous tough shots. Funny how sometimes it seems certain players have "career" games against Cincinnati sports in general. A lot of mediocre pitchers throw like cy young winners against the reds lol.

It's ironic that some are chattering about how OP uses this game as his personal superbowl after Huggs beat him 116-53-that's probably what BearcatMick is predicting the final to be tonight.

First 5 minwe look lazy and slow compared to DePaul speed. Omg this is embarrassing. Melvin looks like Kevin durant
