. Hopefully getting a night time slot gives Cash a little extra rest.

actually scratch that. Sounds like they mean USF/Ohio starts at 715 and UC will tip off 30 mins after that game (so prob 945 or 10 EST)

This team's strength is its ability to keep the games close until late (and have a chance at winning).

Look at the schedule/results for this team - count how many are within 6 points.

Then remember the Syracuse game where they lost by 7 but were in it until the last minute. They've been beat in close games, but they usually win. This is what I think of when people say "we can beat anyone".

Gonna need all of this to work against FSU.

The really interesting thing about this game is you have 2 teams that have both been playing well and whose confidence is at a seasons high. I expect to see the Bearcats move on to the Sweet 16. Let's go Bearcats!

A RNN Conspiracy Theory - Ohio State will lose to Gonzaga today. Ohio State knows that UC has a very good chance of beating FSU tomorrow, Ohio State wants to avoid a game vs UC at all costs. Ohio State cannot take the chance that FSU will beat UC, therefore, Ohio State will lose to Gonzaga.

Nice Ralph, I buy into it.

Not sure how you go from a 12:15 tip to a 9:45 tip in a tourney format but I will take it. We can get two nights good sleep in between games. This should be a good matchup, both teams are hot, both teams play good D. Both teams are people's "surprise" picks to make a run, so something will give. I want so bad to make it to the sweet 16. This will be a fun game. Hopefully we get the rest we need and come mentally ready. And the seemingly random from game to game, I hope we can knock down some shots. We need our inside out game working and we need to stay out of foul trouble.

Cincinnati has to hit open looks in this game and they have to hit some mid-range shots. They will get beat if they forget Yancy and settle for 30 threes.

Agreed, I think Cash needs to look for that little floater more as well. He has been good at that of late. Get the ball in Parker's hands to attack the rim. But by all means they have to hit their open looks. When they settle for jump shots, especially off the dribble, their percentage is horrible. Also it typically leads to a long rebound a quick points for their opponent.

The key to this game is not going to be our offense. We will do the same thing we've done all year. Spurts of great offense and hitting shots and periods of being ice cold.

This game will be won if we can contest 3 point shots and limit FSU's offensive rebounds. If they struggle from 3 and 2nd chance opportunites we will win. Need a huge game defensively from Jackson. He was the catalyst for our defense in BE tournament.

Go Cats (both of them) haha

FSU is prone, to turning the ball over. Need to use speed, to get steals, jump passing lanes, translating into transition points and in the half court; movement and good shot selection.

I am really excited about having a legit chance of making the sweet sixteen!!! GO CATS!!

From ESPN.com:

No. 3 Florida State vs. No. 6 Cincinnati, 9:40 p.m. ET: Speaking of Cincinnati, the Bearcats are still here, too, and they've played the best basketball of their season at the best moments: They overcame a weak RPI to seal a tournament bid, then toppled Syracuse in last week's Big East tournament, then handled, in impressively clutch fashion, a better-than-their-seed Texas team that stormed back from a deep deficit in Friday's win. But do they have enough to get past Florida State?

The Seminoles are the Seminoles: They still play one of the toughest, most physical brands of straight-up man-to-man defense in the country. They still occasionally struggle on the offensive end. But FSU's improvement from beyond the arc led to its ACC conference tournament title and, in general, the most successful season of Leonard Hamilton's slow-burn tenure. If FSU is merely good on the offensive end, and its usual self on defense, the 'Noles should get through to the Sweet 16. But Cincinnati will be the toughest -- with all due respect to Murray State -- No. 6-seeded out in the tournament field.

Hopefully the refs don't like their physical brand of basketball

It's funny how Xavier got an easy path to the sweet 16 this tournament. A good draw (Notre Dame is 1-dimensional), an upset and they are now the favorites in their game to make it.

Meanwhile we have to beat a tough Texas team followed up by a goooood Florida State team. Even if FSU was upset we'd have to play one of the best players in the country (someone who I think would give Gates trouble).

Already impressed and proud of this team this season --- this win would be very tasty icing on the cake!

That is why how far you go before losing is not relevant. The only thing that matters is winning the Tourney. UC has done that 2 times.

Please Put Gaines in over Mbodj!

This is his enviroment. He can throw some bows and clear out

This team wastes so many opportunities with absurd shots that should not be attempted, occasional bad passes (poor decisions), and most noticeably, missed free-throws.

Down 5 with 5 to go in the first half.
