IS AWESOME!

I love it. A great look into the football bearcats and how they are doing in the off season. If I were a recruit and the coach told me to check out this blog I would be all over it.

Shows the fun side of being on the team.

Check out the tug-of-war competition. Coombs loses his mind haha. Very cool idea by Butch or someone in the marketing department.

5 stars IMO. Great.

I like the team building exercises. So often I hear that offensive and defensive players rarely hang out with each other. Building team unity (and the group buying into what the coaches are doing) is the first step in what makes champions.

Cant wait to see the dunk contest! Great blog. Very cool. Also some good stuff about what the ESPN guys and others think about UC and specifically Tony and Mardy.

It's nice for Butch to do this. He's taken what Kelly did and is of the same mindset as far as promoting his team. I wish Cronin would do more of that, but people are different.

Lance said he talked to CBJ and was very impressed and thinks everyone will really like him. Said his former CMU QB Dan Lefeavor was in Cincy to meet up.

You think Pike is going to ND to catch up with BK?

I had lunch with UC football coach Butch Jones Wednesday afternoon. We had a long talk about the program...the past, present and future. I think fans are going to like the vision, understanding and passion he has for the opportunity. I can tell you, from the players I've talked to, he's made a strong first impression and is connecting with them. That includes little things like giving players his cell number (BK did not) and his office door always being open. He will never be the quote machine that Brian was...or have the same swagger. It's not his style.
I saw Brian Kelly as a Fortune 500 CEO building a company to impress Notre Dame.
Butch seems more like a football coach. Whether he's building for sustained excellence and a national title or another job will play out. I think a lot of that depends on UC's commitment to upgrading facilities.
Butch has been all over the place...shaking hands, kissing babies and raising money.
Yesterday he spoke to the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce prior to our lunch.
After lunch Coach Kerry Coombs gave me a tour of the Lindner Center. He showed me upgrades they are making around the football offices, meeting rooms, locker room, players lounge, ect...pretty cool stuff.
UC had several local recruits at the basketball game last night

BTW..his family is super nice. Class all the way.

Based on the evidence from his time at Oklahoma, Bradford won’t play favorites when it comes to distributing the ball to his receivers, backs and tight ends.

But there’s no doubt the Rams wouldn’t mind seeing Bradford and fourth-round choice Mardy Gilyard form a bond that will last them well into the future.

Gilyard believes the groundwork for that connection was already being put in place this weekend.

“It’s like we got a connection, like we’ve been teammates for a little (while) now, though it’s only been one day,” Gilyard said. “We’re developing a nice little relationship here.”

Mardy is trading in his #1 for #81.
