Trevon Scott now? Not Tre? I heard that on the broadcast and Dan Hoard said it too.
His mother asked him to start using his full name, so he is doing it.

Weird how they keep asking about the starters.
Scott was good I thought.
These three games amounted to conditioning. The youngsters got some run and a taste of college Basketball. Time to start the season.
Hope Evans is good going forward.
Yeah, hard to tell how good our bench is going to be until we play real games. Everyone gets excited, myself included, but there is a huge jump in competition between these teams and top 50-100 teams. Next week should be a little better competitionAgree. I also gotta say.... I hope Jenifer can maintain this level of play. I've not been a fan of his and questioned his ability to make the leap. Now - playing these teams is very different than Xavier, SMU, Florida, etc. But I've been most impressed with him and Scott's improvement. I expected Cumberland, Evans, Clark, Washington...but these guys are the x-factor along with Broome. Fun year ahead.

Typical media always trying to make a story out of nothing.
I think our ball movement and offense looked good. Everyone plays hard. Defense needs work. Still give up open 3s. Can’t get away with that against better teams. I’m not a fan of full court trap pressing. Not sure it works at the highest levels. West Virginia does ok with it but if teams take care of the ball, they find it hard to win. Would much rather a great half court defense but there is still time to work on it
If Cumberland stays all 4 years he could be an all American.
It's weird. They asked both Broome and Washington last time. Then asked "not to make such a big deal about it, but were you more motivated bc of it"? Now they ask Washington again. These people are clueless. Our players don't give a crap. Least of all, Washington. They're just out there to win. No one is going to make a stink. They all know they'll play if they're doing the right things. So weird. Either they are trying to stir sh*t up, or they're clueless. Nothing in-between.
mick isn't going to come out and say "im letting these other guys start some in these meaningless games against scrubs" but thats what hes doing.
Agreed. He wants to keep the subs motivated and let them know hard work can pay off. It's a non issue. Jenifer has worked hard enough in the off season and played well enough to earn a start here or there along with some decent minutes. Brooks must have put in some work in the off season to be referred to as MIP early on. Tre is working hard and I could see him getting a start as well at some point.
It's just a hard work reward more than anything else. A nice way for the coach to say he has noticed and it's appreciated.
yeah and he clearly thinks his starters are mature enough and team oriented enough to go along with it. he knows they aren't going to go cry in a corner and become a problem.
Hearing Kyle talk in pressers....that guy is on a mission to achieve something big this year. Just a great representative for this team and the goals we want to achieve. I think Clark and Evans are great as well but Kyle talks about really being prepared and coming with intensity night in and night out. Take nothing for granted. And you know what? I believe him...lol! I know Kyle believes. We need to have some believers to get the job done...and Kyle is pretty convincing. He's a very effective communicator and I am sure makes things very easy for younger guys to understand.
It's funny to hear guys like Kyle or Gary say they are telling younger guys in practice "you aren't going to get away with that in a game". Who is going to challenge their experience...lol?
