I think the key will be Creighton's ability to pass against our pressure D. We trap, switch and collapse on D which usually means a team who can pass the ball well can find the open shooters outside. If Creighton makes their passes and hits their shots this could be a game like we saw against ND.

If we get them rattled and force them into turnovers I think we can win the game. Assuming we can score more than 43 points. If Creighton slows us down on offense we lose, if we speed them up and force them into mistakes this is a game we can win.

Great points.

The game should be very entertaining. Cash, Kilpatrick and Parker should get a lot of open looks.

It's also interesting to note that Creighton doesn't go very deep

Cincinnati cannot get into foul trouble though. Creighton is deadly from the FT line. I'm very concerned McDermott is going to draw fouls left and right out of mismatches. Honestly, I don't know who is going to guard McDermott. Parker, Rubles, jackson, Shaq are too small. Cheikh and David N can't guard him on the perimeter and are too slow to keep him from driving.

I would play zone with a mixture of defenses to keep them confused. Doubt they see a wide variety of defenses in that league.

Does anybody know if Creighton has played a team that presses heavily. I would be worried about doing this as they shoot the 3 so well. If they break the press they will have open looks from the 3 point line. A zone also worries me, becaus of their proclivity to hit the 3. I think a tight man2man, with traps in the corner is the way to play this team. Our athletism hopefully will lead to turnovers and runouts for easy baskets. SK also has to be on, otherwise we have no chance.

For once, I agree with you. Without SK, we will lose.

SK is due in the worst kind of way.

SK has the equivalent of getting the shanks on the golf course. They come out of nowhere and then disappear a few rounds later. His shooting slump has to end now! He has soft hands and a great release. Hope he's worked it out in the gym. Once you go cold, your confidence wanes; and when that happens............you ain't makin' nuttin! So here's hoping he shoots lights out. As many attempts as he makes, he's oblivious to his own shooting fragility. This would be a good time for him to accrue some assists. Only take wide open shots until he feels like he's "on". Then he can ramp it up. As an athlete, you know whether or not you're in the zone during any given game. If you feel like you don't have it, dish it off to whoever is hot at the moment.

Haha you're right, I don't think we need to worry about him shying away from shots. I hope Cash got his confidence back in that Gtown game. At the very least, his shot looked strong and you could tell he was loving it.
