They are 7-8 overall. In conference they have lost at home to Tulane and @South Florida. No line yet bc ECU G B.J. Tyson (over 13 ppg) is questionable. I don't know his injury and I haven't seen them play so I don't know much else.

Need to keep the solid momentum going, lets have a decent crowd for the not so decent opponent! You can tell what a real home court advantage does to this squad.

ECU might be the worst team we've played this year besides Wagner. I think Cincinnati wins convincingly.

I would love to see this team get to 80 for once this year... While I am not very positive it will happen, I predict the Cats offense to go off. But in order for that they'll give up a little bit of defense, so my prediction is

Hard for me to imagine a scenario where this team breaks 80...although they did come close against NC St.

Can't see ECU breaking 60 against Cat's D either - I'm going with 74-54

Is that the line already? That's crazy if it is. I don't know anything about ECU. How are they this bad in bball?! Seems like their football program is semi decent but just reading everything their bball is seriously lacking.

Caupain with 15 pts/7 asts, his best game of the year.

The game is on ESPNU, so everyone can watch it.

They're awful. I'm actually glad about the timing. We're coming off a big win and going to the national champs this weekend. It could easily be a look-ahead game where we are flat tonight. Good thing ECU won't win anyway.

I'd love for Caupain to have a big game. I'm gonna predict that Clark and Shaq are both in double figures. And Morman and Moore combine for 10. 10 boards and 5 blocks for Ellis.

I would love to see Cobb string two games together with over 15 points. We need a true threat from the perimeter very badly...so we need his confidence to continue to build. We know what we have with Ellis, Clark, and Caupain...for the most part 8-12 points with a solid all around game to go with it. Consistency!

So far Cobb has our two highest scoring games (18 and 24) and he was our go to guy late in another game. He is probably our most dangerous player. I am not saying most valuable...just most dangerous. There were three other players to score more than 15 in a game Thomas 15, Ellis 16, and Caupain 17. I'm not sure any other player has the "fire power" to get to 20. It would be so nice if we could play Caupain and Cobb together more so TC could drive and collapse the D and have someone to kick it to for a 3. We miss about 10 minutes per game with them together because their minutes have to be offset due to no other PG. That is 1/4th of the game we WOULD be at our most dangerous.

It would also be nice to see Shaq consistently get in with 8-12 pts as well.

Couldn't agree more with your breakdown. I would also like to add DeBerry to that list. I want to see him get more touches on the block!

Deberry at the elbow running towards the rim seems to work everytime too. No one wants to get in the way of that train.

The Guyn injury really limits the time both Cobb and Caupain can be out floor together....especially long term. We are down to two guys that are ball handlers. If both are tired or in foul trouble at the same time we are in deep trouble.

Unfortunately the Guyn injury hurts more than it seems on the surface. Yeah the guy isn't a scorer.... but having three players that handle and distribute allows the coaches to adjust the rotations.

Ecu runs a 4 guard offense so it might be tough to get deberry in this game. Cronin said he was.going to have a talk with kj today on his radio show, so just a hunch but I think this is Kjs best game of the year.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Guyn distributes. But he is a much better ball handler than Johnson or Morman and I agree his loss really hurts for the reasons outlined above.

It does hurt. However...I have a plan.

Right now Cobb is sitting both the start of the first and second half (roughly 5 minutes each). However, Troy has played SEVEN FULL second halves of 13 already. What sense does it make to look back and say "hey we could have just started Cobb in the second half and played them together since Troy was in the whole time anyway"?

Why not start TC and FC together and then decide when to give each of them their break (if they are even going to get one)? Troy doesn't even get a break sometimes.

I say start them both and then let them sit at different intervals during the game. That is the ONLY way to ensure they spend the max amount of time on the court together!

Agreed - I had this argument before on here but Cobb and Troy need to be starting together. You don't not play one of your best players because he needs to serve backup duties. Any coach worth their salt can figure out the time management there. And don't tell me it doesn't matter who starts, because it does.
