Great move by Mick

Hope that sucker punch was worth it. Not smart. But wait, NOT GUILTY, if only UC had the same people that Xavier has protecting their players, Ellis would still be a part of the team. Right, right? LOL moron. (Not Guilty, not Ellis)

I do feel bad for Ellis, been through some rough shit.

You think? That's the only factor. Well that, and the fact that he has had previous problems while at UC.

That bouncer must have talked some serious trash talk, I'm sure Ellis learned that ROUGH lesson from Mick. What a joke.

I hate to see someone like Ellis go but Mick had to do something. His hand was forced and He made the right decision in my opinion. Its a shame because of Ellis's childhood and the opportunity he had in front of him.

Lets hope no charges are filed against anyone and no more disciplinary actions are taken for the current players.

BearcatMick and Ralph, you guys need to cool it with your conspiracies. You make the fanbase look delusional

Ellis has had a very troubled past, I honestly hope this kid gets his head on straight at some point...but he has issues.

Xavier fan posting unwanted comments on a UC board. What a joke.

I think Ellis had a tremendoues amount of potential.

I like that Mick held him to higher standard but lets be real. This was not a tough decision.

Best news is that Cronin is going to continue to work with Ellis and help him pick a good school for him to land at.

I am think C-USA. If he reaches his potential he could be really really good. Besides Shaq Thomas I think he might have the higest potential on the team.

Why do you keep referencing trash talk as to why Yancy went Mr. T on Xavier?

I am pretty sure it was the slap and blindside shove.

Tu was ready to slap a freshman and Dez was willing to shove our 6'2 gaurd but when Yancy started throwing punches and sticking up for Guyn TU and Dez wanted none of it.

Chicken shit move. Talk a bunch of trash, slap a freshman, blindside shove one of the smallest guys on the team and then cry foul when Yancy starts clearing house.

Too bad for the young man, he's been through a quite a bit in his life. But I do think it was the right decision. My guess is the brawl and the nightclub weren't the only two incidents. This was probably the final straw. Best of luck to him, glad Mick is going to help him out in finding a new school to attend/play. I'm sure it was tough decision, but had to be done.

How can call anything a chicken shit move and not mention Frease getting suckerpunched and kicked in the head?

Because it was in the middle of a brawl where a lot of punches were thrown?

Yancy was wrong but a ton of punches were thrown and it was because Tu slapped a freshman gaurd and dez blind side shoved that same freshman gaurd which meant the fight was on and Yancy was looking to destroy anything in blue and did.

Dez went after a smaller guy when he wasnt looking. Yancy at least went after the biggest guy on X during a brawl. Yancy could have put Lyons and Tu to sleep really quick but didnt.

Uc did nothing wrong during the crosstown shoot out take off your gangsta glasses. Eggs u instigated it and uc was justified in their self defense response to it

Who was it that kicked him in the head?

Why was Frease in the brawl if he didnt want to be hit? Why would Xavier blind side a freshman gaurd if they didnt want a fight? They wanted it and UC gave it to them and now Xavier is upset?

I'm just wondering who it was that kicked Kenny when he was already on the ground. I know Mick had to send a harsh lesson to him and Yancey, bud did those players respect Mick enough to learn the lesson?

The players clearly don't respect him, the administration doesn't respect his wishes..who does respect him?

Think if UC wants to sign two players this was in the works anyway. I wish him luck. Rated in the top 135 at one time. Let's see if they hold one for 2013.

Have you heard of any other issues with Gates or Mbodj since the brawl? I guess the lesson was learned.

If you want to talk about a lack of respect for a coach I think having to tell a soon to be Senior and your best returning player to get out because he's too big of a punk to handle would rank high on the list.

Again, a basketball issue vs a criminal issue. After the crosstown everyone was all over Xavier because of all our "thugs" when in reality, it was UC players who are the thugs. Nearly half the team got into an altercation at a bar. One player learned from the UC senior, and blindsided the bouncer.

Okay, so I guess being held back from attacking a referee and vandalizing the Butler locker room would fall under a basketball issue because it happened after a game, right?

Since you are so such a scholar of off-the-court incidents involving the UC basketball program who was the last player to face criminal charges? I honestly don't know, so I have to call on your expertise.
