Okay, so I guess being held back from attacking a referee and vandalizing the Butler locker room would fall under a basketball issue because it happened after a game, right?

Since you are so such a scholar of off-the-court incidents involving the UC basketball program who was the last player to face criminal charges? I honestly don't know, so I have to call on your expertise.

Are you counting Lance Stephenson?

Okay, who else?

I'd like to see your vast list of criminal behavior by players since Cronin took over, since they obviously don't respect him.

So the only way to show disrespect is to get into trouble with the law? First off, it shows a huge sign of disrespect to get into trouble with the law, but the fact that there was a major fight with that team a few months ago, and it is worse. If a team gets into a major fight and the coach had respect from the players, then after the "discipline" layed down by the coach, you would expect them to not get into another fight just months later, wouldn't you?

There have been many signs of disrespect for Cronin, how many times after a game did Cronin used to say something along the lines of "they aren't listening to me when I tell them it will be a tough game" or "they didn't believe me when I told them we have to do xy&z to win this game"? Not listening to the coach, to me is a sign of disrespect.

As for the school, it's been pretty well known around the area that Cronin doesn't want this game played. The administration still plans on scheduling it= sign of disrespect to it's head coach.

They just said on WLW that Chris Mack has contacted Ellis. Seems like a good fit.

No. UC is going to kick Xavier's arse and then walk away. A fitting end to a silly rivalry that only benefits one side. UC will move on to bigger and far better OOC opponents.

How are you so sure? Xavier just had a mediocre season, while UC had their best season in a decade. Result of the crosstown? Xavier won by 23.

By the way, UC's best season in a decade=Xavier has accomplished 4 of the last 5 years.

If that's true, then Mick is a distant 2nd when it comes to disrespected coaches in this town. Hoping your Senior leader wouldn't return and then having to boot the other before he became a so-called Senior leader is quite telling. I guess Tu didn't learn very well from his rampage at Butler or from the punch he threw at Thomas two years ago in the Shootout.

One thing is for sure. If Xavier's president fired their head coach at a bad time, hired an interim head coach who was a lame duck recruiter, causing Xavier to lose 2 recruiting classes, basically giving their b-ball program the death penalty...........all the while when Xavier was moving into the top b-ball conference in the country...........well, I think I would take that into consideration when Xavier's b-ball program dropped off the map for a few years, and would refrain from gloating about how much better my program was.

I realize Xavier fans don't have the intelligence to take that into consideration when it comes to what UC's b-ball program went through........so I'll cut you some slack for simply being a moron.

I also realize that everyone associated with Xavier has a humongous inferiority complex when it comes to be little brother to UC, and how that definitely affects their bias and fairness when judging UC's program.

As for Xavier winning by 23 this year............another convenient omission by you is that Xavier was ranked #8 in the country at the time and UC wasn't ranked. The fact that UC's finish to the season went so well is a tribute to UC improving, and Xavier sucking ass the rest of the season and dropping out of the top 25. Good job Norwood U Gangstateers.

And after that UC was still the talk of the city and nationally between the two schools at seasons end. The more things change the more they stay the same.

No you wouldn't, but at least you admit Xavier is the better program currently. Not many UC fans would be willing to admit to that.

IMO, tournament results are all that matters in a season. UC got to the sweet 16, so did Xavier. UC got blown out, Xavier lost by 5. One team clearly belonged, the other is your classic Cinderella story.

Xavier beat UC by 23.

By your logic, everytime someone disagrees with another it equates to disrespect. Reasonable, rational, clear thinking people differ all the time on opinions and viewpoints without reverting to a 5 year mentality of I didn't get my way so they must hate me.

Sorry, I personally think the administration should support it's head coach, not go against his wishes and schedule a game he doesn't want. What a slap in the face.

Putting words in my mouth as usual.

Xavier was only the better program because UC's program was killed. Something you conveniently ignore because it makes you feel better. Ignorance is bliss.

Now you're reaching with this cinderella story crap.

I hope you enjoyed Xavier's success. It's come and gone. UC is back and better than ever. Xavier will miss the tournament this year and UC will go far with one of their best teams. Mark it down. Butler, VCU, and Temple, oops they're gone to a better conference, well, atleast Butler and VCU will be kicking Xavier's ass regularly.

But by then, hopefully, you will be banned from this message board for simply being agitatingly confrontational (if you even understand what that means, which I doubt).

Again, if the administration elects to do something not initially supported by Mick, it amounts to a difference of opinion not a slap in the face. The relationship is a partnership with give and take. Your concept of the whole athletic dept having this unilateral, lockstep, fascist approach is totally out of character for your normally very openminded offerings on this message board.

I like reading your posts to brighten my day. Very entertaining stuff.
