I too am very disappointed in the team so far. I really expected more. The sad thing is, as excited as I have been to have a flashy point guard and speed and scoring yada yada yada, I really think that last year’s team would have defeated Florida in a major rock fight. They probably would’ve won this game 58-53 or something like that. I still believe that given time, and the stiff competition they’rre now facing, they will toughen up and mesh together better and be a far better team in March than they are right now. We might see an example of that Tuesday. Mississippi State is coming in undefeated but have played only weaker teams at home. We are coming off playing two of the better teams in the country. I think that will show on Tuesday.Correct - the reason people are upset is this is the same story, different year. I keep waiting for that step up and it doesn’t come. Last year was suppose to be a grea year...it was a terrific regular season and then usual tournament results. Then this is “mick has his best team ever”...ok then, prove it. Still lots of time left, but the reality is by losing the big games and scheduling terrible teams it makes thebseeding very difficult...eventually the Bearcats will have to beat a good team in the tournament.
Just such a disappointment, again.
