Beth Mowins on the play by play for ESPN? The No respect parade continues... I know it's opening weekend, there are a lot of games, etc... but come on man, Child Please!

I'm sorry, I know this sounds sexist and all, but nobody takes a football game called by a female seriously. It's a sad truth to the world we live in. I'm not saying women can't do it, but...

Also I see that Fresno St. alum Trent Dilfer will be doing the color commentary.

ESPN has failed to put a woman on a game that either "matters" or is taken seriously. I believe this is because ESPN doesn't have a female play by play announcer that does a good enough job to be respected in the business.

I really hope Trent Dilfer does his homework on UC but I am not holding my breath. At least Herbstreit isn't doing this game or all we would hear about is how good Pitt, WVU, Rutgers and UCONN are and how UC will be lucky to win 7 or 8 games this year. Does anyone remember how brutal that Hawaii game was a couple years ago? Don't expect this game to be much better. It may be a game you have to put on mute, unfortunately.

Oh god, it was Rod Gilmore and Joe Tessitore. They might as well have called UC the "Bearkittens" or made an insinuation of a word you can't spell without UC like the Miami and Xavier fans do all the time. They were horribly biased against UC and the Big East and in all of my years of watching football, I have never seen anything like it. I know fans of all teams complain that announcers are biased (OSU fans are the worst), but it truly crossed the line that night.
