The Harvey situation is lingering....

Heard it had to be approved by the President.. Due to his off the couet issues. Was supposed to be decieded last week. Now crickets.

If they hold against him that he a 16 year old had nude pics of his 15 year old girlfriend on his phone I see that as almost common these days and not some horrible felony. Sorry would be ridiculous to not grant a kid a scholarship over something like that.

These allegations are disgusting. Libeling the shit out a 16 year old is disgusting. Disclosing juvenile criminal proceedings of a minor is disgusting. Targeting a 16 year old with malicious prosecution because your daughter sent a nude to a black ball player is disgusting. And I'd say the same thing if he was committing to X.

Half of you need to get off your high horse, rub two brain cells together and look at the facts of this case.

AGREE AGREE AGREE !!!! Not every child grows up in a perfect world. If this is the worst thing this kid does, would love to see him become a Bearcat.
 
The silence regarding the Harvey situation can’t be good. There really hasn’t been any positive sounding progress for almost a week. My gut tells me that we balked in admitting Harvey and he will not be joining our team. I hope I am wrong but the longer this drags out the worse the odds.

I agree, but I can see the concern about bad optics as well. Harvey was charged for a crime I'd guess many (if not most) teenage men have committed. He got unlucky in that he got caught and the charge was pursued. It shouldn't be a crime in my opinion.

But, because of his high rating, Harvey is going to get a lot of publicity. I could see a concern that the narrative will be that the only reason Brannen got his first 4-star guy is because of Harvey's criminal record. Perhaps there are concerns this will become a slippery slope of targeting high rated guys who have checkered pasts. The concern is the focus will be that we recruited a high-rated guy with a criminal record and the media will ignore the innocent nature of the "crime". Perhaps there is also concern about bad optics of forcing Hardnett out (regardless of if that is the case, I think the perception will be we forced Hardnett out if Harvey signs).

I'm starting to doubt Harvey will happen, the lack of action indicates that somebody higher up has concerns and is delaying/stopping the process. Apparently Harvey just unfollowed UC Men's Basketball on twitter as well (It was the only team basketball account he was following).

The longer the Harvey thing takes the less and less likely it is he ends up here...I would hate for Hardnett to leave and this thing not actually happen
 
Yeah, I would sure hate to see a kid forced out, if that is indeed what happened to Hardnett & then not have the replacement for which he was forced out. That would make the architect of that scenario look like a real dope

The dopes are the ones on this board that panic over everything. No one knows why Hardnett transfered... well at least no one on this board. No one knows what’s going on with Harvey...

Yet everyone makes these assumptions and pretty much have proven themselves wrong on multiple occasions.

If he stopped following uc basketball on twitter, that isn’t a good sign.

Everything is speculation on Harvey and the circumstances surrounding his recruitment. It certainly seems like he will not sign with UC. But unless/until any sort of announcement from any party is made, we are all left guessing.

What are you basing it on when you say, it certainly seems he won’t sign with uc?
 
Damn this puts out the fire we had going. It's couple 5* PG that have sit out this year I'll go after. If true I grade this off season D-.
