It makes me neverous that JJ is playing especially with us having a game this Sunday too. I really hope this doesn't blow up on us. We need him for bigger things.

History shows if he wasnt ready the head coach wouldn't allow him to play. If he gets hurt it won't be because he's not ready physically to play.

JJ is a machine. Hoping for a competive game. First national game in a while on an otherwise slow sports night. Very good chance to be feature on 11pm sportscenter with a down to the wire finish. Not that this team needs a
National attention it would be nice for them to get some given the effort they have given.

Now that I know Justin Jackson is playing, I can give a valid prediction:

Louisville's pressure, especially on the guards, is going to be very tough for Caupain, Johnson and Guyn. The only ball handler with experience is Kilpatrick and it will be tough for him to be the primary ball handler AND the primary scorer. Rubles will be heavily relied upon to relieve pressure. Last year he had 8 turnovers, a repeat performance will be a disaster.

I don't think UC's zone is active enough to play it a lot tonight, Mick will probably play man about 90% of the time, and 10% zone. Getting out to shooters on the perimeter will be a huge key as Hancock, Blackshear, and Smith are ON FIRE from three recently. UC has to keep UofL around 6-7 three's for the game.

Offensively, this is going to be a game where the high post/low post offense will be effective. Louisville plays Hancock at the 4 a lot, so Rubles will need to take advantage when UofL is in man. When they are in zone, UC will have to DOMINATE the offensive glass.

I don't think they will be able to hang with an effective pressure team, that is hot from three.

Louisville 73, Cincinnati 63

The same people saying we will lose tonight said we'd lose to Memphis, u negative fans need to accept we are good. Uc wins tonight

Didn't we already go over this in another thread? Nothing wrong with predicting a loss. If you're looking for common ground, we all want UC to win, and pretty much everyone thinks we at least have a decent chance. To me, if you're predicting a win tonight, then you're also predicting we win the rest of our games, because this game is certainly the toughest of our remaining games.

I love optimism, but I hate when people let who they root for effect their predictions. I want to know what you honestly think will happen tonight, not hope. I see a great game, but I think UL comes out on top.

I can respect that, but honestly I think we are playing great confident basketball, and are ready to prove we are a top 10 team. Uc is tough team and think we win this game. All the haters motivate them. I just don't understand how fans on this site watch all our games witness the 12 game streak and continue to predict losses. Stop doubting them, and stop doubting Cronin

I think the broncos will lose Sunday. That doesn't mean I'm negative, or think they are overrated. I just honestly think they will lose.

Like many here, this is the first loss I'm predicting since the Memphis game. It's not like we're sitting here all pessimistic expecting losses to unranked teams.

If you want haters, check out the Louisville forums. Haven't seen anyone predicting anything other than a double digit UL win. Some were calling a 20+ point win for them.

People that think UC will lose are not being negative. They understand the environment. There's a reason Vegas has a 9 point spread. It's silly to say because someone thinks UC will lose to a very good team at home they are being negative.

Guyn on Smith early could really set the tone. Guyn needs to limit the drives into the lane to prevent our bigs from getting into foul trouble. Stay with Hancock and for the love of God box out Harrell!

UC is good enough to win tonight. If I wasn't still concerned about Jackson...and Lawrence was healthy...and it was at the Shoe...I'd predict and Bearcat victory.

But with only 1/3 or 0/3 going tonight, it will be very difficult for the 'cats.

Im glad the first game is away. Give the freshmen a chance to play in that environment and learn how Louisville plays. Then knock them off on Feb 22.

But tonight I think:
Cards - 72
'Cats - 64
