Georgetown @ Temple.

This could be a good game. Georgetown is due to slip up eventually and I think Temple could be the team. I think they were predicted to win the A-10, I am not sure about that though. It will be a close game IMO but I give the slight edge to Temple because they will be fired up to have a Big East team in their house.

Temple- 73
Georgetown - 70

Butler @ Xavier

I will get on and read Xavierhoops from time to time to see what they say about stuff going on around the country and found a thread that linked a Butler board. These two teams have some serious beef with each other apparently. Butler fans hate X because they think X is arrogant. Butler thinks of themselves as a mid major but is upset that X doesn't think of themselves that way. Xavier seems to not like the way things went down @ Butler last year.

X fans seem to really hate Hinkle, where BU plays.

Both teams are in need of a win. If Butler loses they will be .500 and Xavier needs to gain some confidence.

I will go with X on this one. They really want to win this one and I think X is better than people think. Butler lost to Evansville...

I will go:

X - 67
BU - 56

Georgetown wins by 8-12 and Butler beats Xavier. They can match the guard play and have Howard down low.

I'll go with Gtown by around 5-6ish, Temple just hasn't been playing as good as they were predicted to play. The talent is there, I just don't know if tonight is the night they show up. If it wasn't at Temple, I would put it to double digits.

I will take X at home. They have had a week to prepare, and apparently their fans are pumped about the game. Maybe there will be another clock meltdown and this time it favors X. That would be classic.

I haven't seen a ton of Butler but Howard has never impressed me at all.

If he stays out of foul trouble he's very effective... unfortunately last year was a house of horrors for him foul wise...

Even if I thought X was going to win the game- which I don't- I'm not sure I could ever lend objectivity to anything pertaining to the Mouseketeers.

Well Georgetown goes down to Temple tonight. Another undefeated bites the dust.

That X/Butler game was such an eyesore... and some UC fans think the 'Cats are tough to watch...

I went to my immortaliconforevers new house to watch the game. Nice ass place. But the game was tough to watch. Neither team could hit a shot.

Butler left Cintas 4-4. Not good for them.

I'm still not impressed with X all that much. I'm sure the shootout will be a battle, as it almost always is, but they present little in the way of matchup problems for the 'Cats. I'm very eager to watch Cash D-up Tu for 30+ minutes. That's going to be an intriguing match up to watch. Can Cash keep Holloway out of the lane?

No. Holloway basis his entire game around getting into the lane to get foul calls.

We should press the shit out of them honestly. They have 6 players right now that can contribute. Need to get them tired or in foul trouble. I am so glad this game is at the shoe.

Who will Bishop stick on D? He's our defensive stopper but other than Holloway no one for X scares you from an offensive standpoint right now. Granted there is still almost a month until the game, so Jackson or Lyons could heat up for X.

Bishop isn't quick enough to guard Lyons. He will likely guard Jackson. Jackson is really only a threat as a stand still shooter.

I think the idea of the press is intriguing against X. Their depth absolutely sucks. But Holloway and especially Lyons are quick with the ball and handle the press well.

Even if we don't all out press the entire time, we need to pressure their guards the whole game and wear them down.

My one concern against Xavier is ft's. They shoot them well and we don't. The game will be close as always. Plus, they have played close games against good teams. They have shown an inability to close at times.

We have a ton of depth. I would not put one person on Terrell Holloway. Cash, Parker, and Davis rotating.

If the refs do not call it tight we will be in a good situation.

I couln't believe Temple students actually rushed the floor after that one. Wasn't Temple ranked at the beginning of the year?
