I definitely think we're going to win. But We beat Houston and Wichita because we had a mindset that we were playing a very good team. The thing that could open the door to an unexpected loss would be us taking a win for granted not being totally into the game. We were totally into the game against the big teams. The other concern would be is letting them hang around. We need to step on their neck in the first 5 min. I also don't like that they have a killer.

Considered we haven't really played down to competition all season, I find it hard to believe it happens the first game of the tourney..

UC will fully understand that this is a one and out tournament. There are no second chances. I'm nervous also, but if we're worried that were going to be in a last second shoot off with Georgia state, then there is no way we get to sweet 16 this year. Were going to take care of business like usual. We have taken care of business all year and other than the Xavier game, we could of won every other game we lost. With a 34 game sample in the books, I would say we're at least a very consistent good team. Georgia state had a solid year and got hot in there tournament. We had a great year, had best player play like shit in tournament and some bad offensive games in conference tournament. We beat the likes if whichita State, smu, memphis and Houston. Who did Georgia state beat in there tournament and who did they lose to in the regular season. We are a veteran team, with some really good players. Take the Tulsa game, they didn't miss a three all game it seemed, we out scored them. Then we struggle in conference tournament to score and still won. While I will bitch during the games about wanting perfection in our play, I'm not going to freak myself out because of past luck in tournament. U think we're better than last year, we beat Kansas State. If Georgia state and Kansas State was our possible first round opponents, who would you guys rather play this year, wanting the easier game . Were going to be fine. Not taking away anything from Georgia state, but the only reason we're worried is because we're expecting them to play out of there minds and for us to play like crap. Not going to happen. The only problem were going to have with Georgia state is our very own Gary Clark.

Yes they have a "killer" and people who shoot 40% but look against the competition they're doing that against. We have 5 killers and 5 people that shoot over 40% when we're consistently playing bad teams too.

The only way we lose this game, regardless if they should be a 13 or 15 seed, is if we play our worst game of the year by far.
This guy is a good player in the conference that there in. We have that same type of player coming off our bench. Like you said they have 1 we have 5. Cronin is very good at focusing on the best player and stopping them from reaching there scoring average. We just played in my opinion a bigger stronger better Georgia state in Houston. We beat them. That's when we couldn't throw ball in ocean. Were not in Florida, were in Tennessee, new start, hungry team and veteran led.

I’m confident we win.

I’m just saying that our track record in the tourney isn’t great. If some UC fans are nervous it’s because we’ve seen what UC has done in the first 2 rounds of previous tourneys.

I’ve joined multiple paid bracket groups now and have put UC in at least the elite 8 every time.

I just pointed out that the recipe for upset is there. Do I think it happens ? No.

I agree with just about all of this. I just hope Evans is "right". We can probably get by with him just playing great D in this game but we are going to need his shots to fall at some point to keep advancing. Especially if we can get into the Sweet 16.

I hope it was just an Orlando arena thing but depth perception would mean you would miss short or long and Jacob was missing left and right. I have never seen him miss left and right that much.

He was definitely missing left and right. This is where Cumberland is at his most valuable. I think cane had figured out his role also. Can Evans give us 10-14 points a game, while playing great defense, I think so. If his jumper isn't falling, go mid range, if that's not working, attack basket, play smart and don't turn ball over. There thing that makes us most dangerous is the balance of what each player brings. I would rather have that, then have to have one guy go crazy every game.

If Evans is good to go that's one thing. But we can't have him shooting 17 shots when he's clearly off the mark. In some games you want to have a guy keep shooting even if he's cold. When you are missing left, right, long, and short...it's time to change that strategy.

I go back to golf a lot. When you are missing one way you can adjust it. Long or short...left or right. If you are missing on all sides you are going to have a bad day. In golf you don't have anyone else to help you but in BB you do.

How well did Mick stop Blueiit from X ??

I was just looking for driving distance for fan base purposes.

Cincy to Nashville 4 hrs and 6 minutes.

Atlanta to Nashville 4 hrs and 4 minutes.

Dammit!! They have a 2 minute edge. Oh well...it was fun season...lol! JK of course. I would expect to have a nice contingency in Nashville and I can't imagine GA ST will have a big following. I wish I could go but I know we are going to be well represented.

Then we get into Texas or Nevada. Not sure how well Texas BB fans travel but I know their FB fans do. Nevada can't have too large of a following I wouldn't think. I hope to have the crowd advantage in either game.

I really think you are the only one nervous AT ALL

To be honest I haven't watched the majority of the game, But I started watching in the second half and there was a few min stretch where Houston was getting called for yawning on people. San Diego has like 30 ft.

Almost half their points are from the ft line. That's pathetic.

There are some really good coaches out there, other than him having one or two bad games, no one has really stopped him. Can't blame the coach when players are hitting half court shots. Look at rob gray tinight, 40 points. Cronin was good at limiting him. Taking one game out of 35 isn't a good argument. Tomorrow is the day. Let's see what happens.
