I realize Many on here and in bearcat nation Illogically hate mick cronin. Its time to recognize what we've known all along....

Mick is one of the best coaches in college bball if not the best. When you combine his recruiting, preparation, in game adjustments, and strategy, he is right up there with coach k, calipari, pitino, boeheim, calhoun, crean, and yes huggins. In fact, id rather have mick coach my team than huggins.

3 weeks ago, ucbearcats and the othereggs trolls wished for mick cronins murder. Now, they realize he is one of the best coaches in college bball.

Its time to get on the mick bandwagon. We are lucly to have him and I wouldn't want any other coach

Dude, just let it be.

You know what the difference is between me, UCbearcats and you?

You are a cheerleader and we are fans. When things are not going right, I will voice my frustration.

2nd, why did it take a brawl for Mick to realize what type of team he had? What was going on in the off season from a coaching stand point to prepare this team?

The offense prior to recently was flat out embarrassing.

It has turned around and stop trying to divide Bearcat Nation

I'm one of the biggest UC and Mick Cronin fans I know. But threads like this serve no purpose.

Mick is going to be our coach for a long time. He has earned that. Many fans cant accept that. It doesn't matter. Lets just celebrate a great night like tonight. No reason to go looking for arguments.

Totally agree with you but I do find it funny the "live in the moment" people still wanna say "why wasn't he running this offense all season!". Mick is no better or worse a coach now then he was a month ago. What the suspensions did is make the team buy in and play their asses off. Had we seen the effort we've seen the last 6 games previously and gotten the same player leadership, who knows where this team would be. I give Mick credit for the stability and direction, but this is about the players taking ownership of their team finally.

Well said.

The biggest reason for Cincinnati's 6-0 record since the Xavier brawl has been Jaquon Parker. Exceptional "glue guy" for Bearcats.

Get over yourself

It's a fact Jason. Some will only be critical. R2G weren't you one of the live in the moment guys? The moment is 6 in a row and a win over a top 25 team on the road. Make the statement, man up and live by it.

Have you been reading this message board? Jeff's statement is accurate. People here want to have their cake and eat it too.

I own this board

Please explain.

Do you mean by pointing out the flaws of the team up until now?
Put on your skirt and stand along the baseline and if you want to be a cheerleader. I'll continue to be a fan and show concern for my team.

For me personally I have never called for Mick's job. When things aren't going as expected it is very frustrating and I have vented about that.

From day one I have said this was the year to get the buzz back. Opening how they did, was not acceptable.

Who's to say this team wont crumble down the stretch as the past teams have done (minus last years team)? I hope I'm wrong, but these are things I think about

And haven't you been reading my posts??

I have

I am a Bearcat Bball fan. Not a Bob Huggins fan or a Mick Cronin fan. I dont care if you are the coach. I am a Bearcat Bball fan

You said you live in the moment! When you were asked if Mick was a bad coach last season you said you live in the moment. Now you are projecting the possible destruction at the end of the season. Just man up and say I was wrong. He has brought it together and done a good job. The moment is good. Live in it bro.

I'm pulling your leg somewhat here R2G, I believe you're a good fan, but c'mon let's not predict doom and gloom. It could happen and I might win the lottery.

This is just flat out wrong, Mick has improved tremendously as a coach in the last month by his own admission.

To play devils advocate here.

When the shots werent falling, it was on the players.

Now guys are shooting lights out and its Mick has done a great job?

I have said, I love this new offense. I have said Go Cats

I'm not a cheerleader. When the team loses to Presb, you will not see me cheering.

The team is winning now and I am all for it

My athletic success takes president over any of your comments. That is how I live my life. Always room to improve and be critical. I walk the walk :D

Mick is the same coach now as then.

So you are saying, from a scheme point of view, they are running the same type of offense?

I saw a full court press last night, that I havent seen all year!

You are saying it was acceptable to score 54 against Presb? Then blaming the D for the loss?

I tried telling people this team was capable of scoring more and most on here said, Mick is working with what they have

It does serve a purpose. Immediately preceding the crosstown shootout, uc bearcats advocated micks murder. Ready attacked him viciously for weeks, sometimes personally.
They weren't the only ones.

Now they have turned a 180 already. Its time for the haters and huggins obsessors to realize how lucky we are to have him!

Oh please

I have never attacked Mick personally. I have criticized his coaching style.

The team is doing what I have expected from them all year. All of my comments from previous are being responded to now. You can say Mick has been reading my comments and adjusted his coaching style accordingly

I have never said those things nor am I saying that now. What is obvious is it's the energy level and the player leadership that has changed this team. Cronin has said the same thing. My point is simple. A month ago they would have lost the Oklahoma game. There has been a mental change for these players. My ONLY point is if the team had played with the same attitude all season long this team would have been in a better position regardless of scheme. That said, I agree 100% that this scheme better fits the personnel.

If you go back to the first 3 or so games of the season, even the games we won, those were my concerns. I said good teams are going to stop this style of play. I was attacked for being a "Mick hater". Go back and look at my posts. I was right. The scheme was pitiful.

Thats where we agree.

I would also say, the player attitudes have changed because of 3 things.

1) The fight
2) Isnt it a little more exciting to play in an up tempo style offense, instead of relying on good defense and a stagnent O?
3) Mick has takin the choke off and let these guys open up? They arent playing as tight
