Me and the other 223 people at 5/3 Arena 15 minutes before tip off say hi! It is a stupid idea to schedule a home basketball game at 2pm on an NFL Sunday.

The people who watch the bengals aren't going to watch UC.
Those still supporting the Bengals, do so in spite of the fact that they haven't been relevant since Joe Montana used to play.
They're cultists, they're sick in the head and anyone who does root for the Bengals (and/or the Reds really) deserves them.

That said, look at who UC is playing.
Need more relevant competition, we'll get it too.

It is 47-16 at half of today's titanic struggle. As no else has posted it must be you are all watching the Bengals game.

Rubles having an off day...
I liked SK, Parker and Wright as expected, the two centers have been impressive on both offense and defense. Jackson doing a lot better.
Unexpected - Great block and positioning by Gaines, Thomas made an outstanding move to the basket, he's looking comfortable today. Sanders in spite of his missed freethrows made a great basket while being fouled.

Kentucky and Indiana play bad home non conference schedules and sell out every game.

The Bengals are winning 28-6, the Bengals games get over a 50 share in the Cincinnati TV market. It is a dumb idea for UC to schedule games at the same time the Bengals are playing.

Wow man. I like to consider myself a Bearcats, Reds, and Bengals fan. Quite similar to, well, a lot of people that live in Cincy. You're flat out wrong and your post is very childish. Congrats.

It wouldn't matter if they didn't schedule during the Bengal games, we would get the same results. Fan base is weak and only want to support the team when we play a decent. Apparently in most fans eyes UC doesn't matter for half our games....unless we would happen to lose then they would have something to say.

UC play by play announcer Dan Hoard went to the Bengals game.

Enjoy your Bengals... Just saying...
It's a painful shock, but I liken it to one of those people from "Breaking Amish". It can be quite liberating. The day people realize Mike Brown and his turd of a franchise aren't worth paying for, will be the day the people of Cincinnati work to improve their own lives. In a way, the Bengals are a great metaphor for Cincinnati as a whole, going nowhere.

Maybe people do realize Mike Brown is a piece of turd but they enjoy watching the NFL and like rooting for the team they grew up rooting for? You ever give that a thought? You just made two of the dumbest posts I've ever read on this board, and that says a lot.

I agree, I root for the Bengals because they are the home team. Mike Brown is a piece of turd and as long as he is running the team he won't get my money nor will I be a die-hard fan, but I still root for them. I had no trouble missing the last two weeks to be down at the Shoe though.

Sunday afternoon's is the best time to schedule a game this time of year. You don't want to go against your own football on Saturday's (and they don't announce game time's for football until a week or two before games sometimes) and you don't want a night game. Last Sunday's game outdrew the Tuesday night game, albeit by about 100 fans or so. These games are being attended by season ticket holders, students and very few others. No shows because of a Bengal game still bought their ticket. I'm pissed the football game got put at 7 oclock Friday night, I'll have to DVR the bball game and hope to not hear a score.

If you enjoy watching the post-Paul Brown Bengals or worse, pay to watch them, you're in no position to call anything dumb.
They're not the team that went to two super bowls, any more than the current cleveland franchise represents the old Browns.
The real Browns are in Baltimore and the old Bengals are retired.
It's a lousy franchise out there, I feel no guilt in saying that. The only people who should feel guilty, are those continually ripped off. If you enjoy throwing your money away, fine. It's still stupid.

Based on the minutes SK is getting I am thinking he is gone next year. Cronin is not playing Cash for 25 minutes because he wants him to be fresh and also to see his talent for next year. Wright and Parker deserve just as many minutes as SK because their back up plans aren't great...but SK is getting a lot more minutes because I think Cronin is padding stats for NBA draft. That's fine...I just think it's time to prepare and also recruit that PF or C we've been looking for. I think SK is gone! He is averaging 6 full minutes more than anyone else...even when we are blowing teams out.

What other reason would you have to play your best player for the most minutes when you are killing teams?? Consider we don't have another GREAT point guard.

I think part of it is that, part of it is that SK is the natural scorer. You can afford to go without Parker or Cash and get someone some experience. A lot harder to keep SK off the floor. Killing a team or not, you don't want to get Bluehose'd again.

By that logic, UC also is not the dominating team they were in the late '50s/early '60s, nor the team that went to the Final Four in '92, nor even the Huggins teams that were consistently Top 15. Since we aren't as good as those teams, sure, going to the games is "throwing your money away." Sheesh, talk about fairweather.

How about 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 blocks from the 5 position??? 12 blocks???

Mooj is averaging 4 blocks per game since exhibition WTF??

Does anyone realize what Kmart averaged??

78 blocks is 5th on the all time chart at UC (Kmart). Even if Mooj keeps on blocking 3 shots instead of 4 per game he will end up with 90. Hicks is the all time leader with 117 in a season. I know we are talking easy teams but I am very happy wiht the D right now from the 5. 12 blocks from the 5?? Come on.

But why risk your best player when we are blowing teams out?? I would expect the opposite...SK gets about 15-20 minutes. UNLESS you are trying to keep his stats high.
