Gtown Game.

I thought we would win one of two against Gtown thought the win would be at home though. Now I feel we can sweep the rest of our regular season.

Biggest win of season.

Great effort by Yancy (espec when he stayed down low), Dixon, and Bishop...who called his bank shot 3 pointer.
Kudos to Jackson, who played hard on both ends.

Depth was a BIG factor tonite.

Yes.

Keep pressing!

Big win

Absolutely huge f'n win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great effort and poise down the stretch.

Now go get fitted for those dancing shoes!

Listening to the postgame show. Mick says it not about just making the tourney, but continuing to improve and winning games once you get there. That's what I like to hear.

If anyone saw the end of the Wisconsin/Michigan game tonight they saw TWO banked in three pointers at the end of the game/shot clock that brought back nightmares of the Garden and WVU last year. At least this time it was our Bearcats doing the heart breaking!!!

he also mentioned the focus of continuing to better the program...on the inside, being the fan of UC that he is, you know he is loving this win tonight and this season. As he said, "no one is going to rain on his parade"...
Go Bearcats!

I will be at the game Sunday with my lovely wife. We have had tickets for this game since December. I am so pumped that the Bearcats are playing good basketball right now!! I fully expect to win Sunday and "I am STILL EXCITED" (said in a Chris Farley SNL voice).

We will be sitting in section 222 row 14 seats 3 and 4. Please feel free to come say hi. I'll be the one in the UC gear. :D

If anyone has any more updates from Cronin's post game interview with Dan and Chuck, I would love to hear it. I was so pumped I forgot to turn it on!

pauldehnerjr Mick Cronin to 700WLW on postgame scene: "They were all dancing. By the time I got in there, there was so much dancing going on."

From Twitter

Love the enthusiasm!! This team is really enjoying themselves right now and they deserve it after a win like that!!

Dan Hoard asked Mick as the last question of the postgame show if he told the guys he was proud to be their coach after tonight (Like he said to them after the Louisville game). He said he had some BE commitment right after the game, but when he did go to the locker room they were all dancing in there. As happy as we all are tonight, just think how happy all the players are, especially the seniors who had to go through the rebuilding process, play in a half empty FTA, and hear constant negativity from the fanbase. Sweet vindication. I will be there on Sunday and on senior day. Can't wait to show my appreciation for what the seniors have done for the program.

felt good to finally have a huge banked 3 at a critical moment go cincinnati's way. feel like thats all ive seen since ive been a little kid is shots like that going against them, dating back to the game vs w va when patterson blocked/tipped a 35 foot shot that banked in at the buzzer in the tourney

Great Post! Couldn't have said it better myself. Rep'd.

Wow Yancy, Dion, Rashad... Awesome games.

Mick coached a brilliant game imo. He went away from Larry and Wilks when they didnt bring much. Made key adjustments.

Justin Jackson played his best game in a bearcat uniform.

Gtwon has not shot that poorly in their building in 10 years. Impressive feat by the UC defense.

Not only that, going zone was a brilliant move on Mick's part and really took Georgetown out of their back-cut style of the Princeton offense and made them shoot over the top.

I'll admit I was a skeptic towards the end of the first half after G-Town knocked in two threes on consecutive possessions against the Zone. But the defense outside of that short stretch which included allowing I believe 3 offensive rebounds, was excellent.

Bishop going 4-4 on 3's tonite. Wow.

He was huge, and they all seemed to come at a great time.

Mick talked about Justins great play in 29 minutes..

Talked about holding Gtown to lowest % in 10 years..

Talked about how well the overall defense was..

Said Dixon got in a great rhythm early on..

Talked about how they prepared for the press to zone in two days and really executed well.

Mentioned that they have a few kinks to work out with the zone rebounding.

Yep. I even went so far as to post that I thought they should go man to man for a couple possessions to change it up a bit on Georgetown. That is why I am not the coach...and that is probably a good thing too. :D
