I'm sayin I disagree with the fact that he knows his x's and o's. Passing the ball around the 3 point line between two players against a zone is abc's, elementary play to be clear.
And if you feel that he does know x's and o's, knowing and teaching are two completely different things.
Not to mention being a motivator is part of being a coach. Players must buy in.
I get what you're saying. The point I'm trying to make is the fact that his team didn't get enough passes into the high post and ran the shot clock down too far had nothing to do with Mick's knowledge. It had to do with the players not listening to Mick's knowledge (whether it's his fault or their that they didn't listen is an entirely different discussion).
As for the rest of your post, are we forcefully agreeing with each other? We have both said that Mick is not doing a great job coaching. I don't see where the argument is: The only part of your original post that I disagree with is his knowledge...not his coaching skill.
