Evans misses front end of one and one, if he makes both the cats are up 13, now only a six point lead. Free throw shooting will cost this team games this year.

I'd think about bringing Caupain back in with 2 fouls. They need someone who has a clue how to run offense against the zone. Jenifer is out of his element.

Evans has a simple pass to Washington for a dunk, chooses to shoot a fallaway jumper, misses, leads to a fast break & an And-1.

Omg why the f*ck did we give them an extra shot? Oh my brain hurts.

I think we had 7 points the last 10 minutes.

Cats should be up by at least ten points. Caupain, Cumberland, Evans, Clark, Washington should get the bulk of the minutes in the second half.

The good: They are playing the shooters aggressively, taking away Houston's #1 weapon. Generally rebounding well. 6 for 14 from deep.

The bad: Running out on the shooters have led to a few easier baskets on penetration. The guards just decided to stop passing in the final 8 minutes of the half. Evans has to hit the open man instead of settling for tough shots all the time.

Caupain was MVP of the first half. Hit shots, played great defense, got the offense going. When he sat with two fouls it was a different team.

No idea why every college coach thinks two fouls for a player in the first half is a reason to banish them to the bench. Caupain is a senior PG, I hope he's capable of playing w/o fouling.

With this officiating crew? Absolutely not, anything at all could be called a foul.

For the most part coaches do what other coaches do b/c they don't want to be seen as contrarian or criticized when an unorthodox tactic backfires so they all play it safe.

As the old adage states: no risk, no reward. Instead of potentially being up 12-14 points with Troy playing with two fouls, we're only up five.
