20-11
So an update to this question, how do we finish the season going forward? I look at the remaining games and the way this team has played lately and I am very worried about how we are going to finish this season out.
As it stands we are 19-5 with 7 games remaining (4 home and 3 road). That should be enough to make you feel great but not with this team, not in this conference, and not with our track record of fading down the stretch run.
Here's how I see it going down.............
St. Johns - We lose a tough one here on another sloppy scrappy game but SJU makes enough free throws this time to put us away
Louisville - We lose by double digits to a team that forces us into too many turnovers with their pressure and simply scores too many points for us to compete.
@Providence - Another tough loss to a scrappy team on their home court. Marshawn Brooks goes off and we don't have anyone to contend on the scoring end, his game turns out to be the difference
@Georgetown - Bearcats show up in this game and win by double digits. We end the 3 game skid by frustrating GTown with our defensive gameplan and we make a few shots in the process.
UConn - We lose by double digits, UConn just scores too many points and we can't score, simple as that.
@Marquete - We lose a close game on the road to a Marquette team playing it's way off the tournament bubble.
GTown - Bearcats lose an ugly one to close out the season, GTown makes the necessary adjustments after losing to us at their place in the last game.
So that puts us at 20-11 and we end the season on a 1-6 skid. Man, I hope I'm wrong.
I could see the SJU, Providence, and LVille games going the other way, then again we could drop both games to GTown and go 0-7. The next question is if we beat SJU, Providence, and Marquette and finish on a 3-4 note does 22-9 get us into the dance?
Thoughts, predictions, am I crazy??
Granted but you never can tell. We thought WVU would have all sorts of trouble scoring coming into 5th/3rd without Casey Mitchell and they put up 66 on the 'Cats. Ultimately I think that game was an aberration and UC will play very well at home down the stretch. I think they lose only one more game at home. Whether that be to St. John's, UofL, UCONN or Georgetown.I could see us pulling out a LVille win and it's certainly possible that we'll beat Providence. I agree with you on the Marquette game and I think most people do, not sure why but for some reason I feel like we never have a chance against Marquette (maybe it's their awesome uni's)
I couldn't disagree more with the UConn game. We always play them tough and kind of have their number recently but I just don't see a way that this UC team can match UConn on the scoring end. We'd better have an epic shooting night if we want to win that game.

There's nobody I agree with more than BA1 and again I'm right with him on this.
Providence will be tough at home. SJU, Ville, Gtown and UConn will be tough at 5/3rd but I think homecourt gives us the edge. The last 4 all have crunch time go to guys that can carry a team. UC has to get back to team basketball on both sides of the court in this homestretch to close the deal.
Just for S and giggles Lunardi had us at 10-8 and in.
