Sean Kilpatrick dazzled University of Cincinnati basketball fans with a 33-point show in the Deveroes Summer Basketball League last July, but Kilpatrick has not gotten off the bench this winter.

That is because Kilpatrick, a freshman shooting guard, is redshirting for the season. Kilpatrick averaged 25.6 points a game as a high school senior in White Plains, N.Y., and spent last season at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.

TheGreatOne will eat a thumb size pile of dirt, if Killa starts as a Junior.

with that being said, I was very impressed with Killa in the Deveros league. Hopefully a year in the weight room and a year practicing brings him to be a BE caliber player.

One of the main reasons I left Bearcatnews was to avoid you. Oh well, looking forward to proving you wrong time and time again :D

That being said, I agree he really needs to hit the weight room.

I think there is a huge misnomer about the Deveros league. There are so many players that absolutely shine in that league, then just do not turn out to be good real college games. Too many people around here look at the Deveros league as a good indicator of players talent level, which it isn't.

I am with Kinsley here. Alvin Mitchell ad Charles Bronson were the most impressive people at DSL.

Killer could be good. But there is a reason I said I would eat a thumb sized pile of dirt if he starts by his 3rd year.

I'd like to see more players with good fundamentals. Court awareness, a great stroke (most of our shooters are awkward when shooting 3's), money at the FT line, good passer. Jumping high is great, but you don't win games because you get two more rebounds than the other team.

(I hope I just didn't sound like bobby knight)

I agree with you swg. I feel if I had the choice I would want a team full of good fundamentals. I am including good basketball IQ in this as well. I feel like too many fans get pumped up about athletes coming to their school, but I would be thrilled to have a team with great basketball IQ. An athlete is good to have on a team, and I think you do need a few athletes on a team to be good, but to be a team full of just great athletes is not nearly as good as a team with high basketball IQ.

Ive got to come up with an actual name people can call me. I'll have to think about it, and maybe do a poll on it. LOL
