LANCE GONE!

Good luck to LS. It was fun having him while he was here.

I wish him nothing but the best, and sincerely hope that he is making the best decision for himself.

I hope it works out for him. I hope he is drafted by the Knicks and becomes a superstar.

Just don't see it really.

It might be best for UC in the long run that he does go. He would be gone next year, and UC could grab another recruit and develop into a more consistent player.
Lance here or not, UC needs better shooters. Time to go out and find them.

Superstars can shoot the ball... He cant.

Awesome, more excuses from mick as to why this team will suck next year.

LeBron wasn't a good shooter when he entered the NBA. I am in no way comparing Lance to LeBron except to say look at LeBron and how he has improved his shooting every year he has been in the league.

I don't have Lebrons high school stats, but I would say he was a much better shooter entering the league then Lance. I have heard rumors that Knicks are looking at him for second round pick though.

That may be true but I would bet that Lance's high school stats showed he was a better shooter than he showed in college. Both LeBron and Lance were physically stronger than anyone they played against in high school.

If he is a 1st round pick I will not have a problem with it. If he is anywhere outside the guarenteed money it will be a terrible decision.

I don't see LS making an immediate impact in the NBA, so why should he go first round? He's someone that a team might make to build as a project. But honestly, he's mostly likely two years away from where he needs to be. I don't know if he'd benefit more by playing in college, or practicing (getting NBA coaching) with the pros...but in any case, he'll be earning.
I could see him not being drafted, and possibly making a team via tryout, or (like Lumberjack stated), ending up in Europe.
He's going to have to put on some very good tryouts.

Don't get your hopes up about first round, Seems a lot of players are leaving early and it should be a pretty solid draft class. On top of that Lance didn't show much this year until the BE tourney, he had games here and there that were great, just not as consistent as you would want a first rounder to be. Having said all that, the NBA draft is all about potential, and he has a lot of it, so there is a chance he goes first rounder.

Even if he doesnt, it may not be a terrible decision. Like SWG pointed out, practicing against NBA players/ being coached by NBA coaches would be much better for him than UC players/coaches, and thats no shot at UC coaches/players. This all matters only if he makes a team though.

Who do you guys think wrote that letter that lance released? I know he didnt!

Oh my hopes arent too high at all. I dont think he will see the 1st round. If he does it is purely on potential and no because of what he has done.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I think Lance could eventually be a very good pro. He seems like the type of guy who is addicted to basketball, and has more intensity and enthusiasm than 90% of the guys.

That, coupled with the fact that he was able to maintain a 3.0, tells me he's got the makeup to succeed. It all depends on the situation (system, mentors, coaches) he gets drafted into.

I have no doubt his shooting will improve. His body needs to mature, he needs to develop better awareness, and as Mick said dozens of times, needs to improve his focus. But in a structured, professional environment, I think he'll be fine.

This was absolutely expected, I had posted my opinion that he was one and done since he signed with UC. I really did not believe his statement a month ago when he said he was coming back. Good luck Lance and thank you for your year at UC.

I don't blame him. He is about to get paid a ton of money. It just could have waited 1 year but that is me, a fan, talking.

Four pages of comments and no one mentions being shocked by this news. Even when he said he would return, I wasn't sold on it. The only thing that made me somewhat believe him was him stating he didn't have an NBA year and he wanted to improve. Most players in that situation don't give specifics for staying.

I wish him the best. I think he'd be better off staying another year, but I'm not being offered money to go play ball somewhere. I liked Lance and his potential but for the most part he wasn't a difference maker here last year and there's no guarantee he would be next year. His shot outside of 15 feet was absolutely horrific. He took enough of them, too, that he was hurting us out there. Would have loved to see how he would've improved next year and I do think he would have. Hopefully his roster spot makes room for Deonte Burton or someone else that can come in and replace his numbers.

Lance is a complete clown. He is broke version of Lebron. Sorry, but cmon, the kid did not dominate college bball like everyone expected and now is jumping to the pros!?!? Cash money talks, until your dropping 60 a night in the pizza league like ksat.

I think I've seen this move before. Oh Yeah... KSat, drafted last. I predict NBADL not Europe at least not until his kid is older.
