Lance
Bishop
Toyloy (he's just badass)
Thomas (getting better)
Dixon
DV (cuz of all he did last 3 years)

I am a big Rashad fan...

No offense but im not sure how anyone is a Bishop fan. Prob the most frustrating bearcat that plays. He shoots the ball way too much and is turnover prone. The reason he is out there is bc he can play D. Simply put he should stick to playing D and hitting shots 6 feet from the basket.

Besides UC's ft shooting....there is nothing more painful than watching Bishop inbound the ball.

I know Rashad is frustrating but I just like him. I feel like he is solid all of the place. He can defend almost anyone on the court regardless of position.

I truly appreciate the art of defense and I guess that is why I like Rashad so much. Plus, I think having a left hander helps out and cause problems for the opposition.

Mark me down as a Bishop fan. He gets good position when battleing for offensive rebounds and is a stong finisher when he wins the battle.

He also has a soft touch inside the paint which I like and has shown improvment in his 3 point shooting over the past couple of seasons.

I believe he will have a very solid senior year and agree, I cringe when he is inbounding the ball.

Getting back to Lance for a minute. Does anybody else think he announced he is coming back to take some pressure off himself?

I know it was just Depaul but that guy was a beast on Wednesday. I think he is fully committed to playing for UC and not having to think about the NBA is comforting for him.

I like the 2 AM workouts too. Now that it is getting to crunch time he seems to be stepping his game up.

Hate to keep on the Bishop thing.....and I agree that he does possess some things that make him a nice player. I think a key word is missing though....he is a nice ROLE player, and unfortunately he doesn't know his role. His role is DEFENSE, offensive rebounding, and finishing close to the hoop. I dont mind if he takes a mid range jumper that is WIDE open but am not a fan of his outside game at all.

One criticism I have of Mick is that I dont think his players know their roles. That is what I loved about Huggs. He could take a team with less talent and make them competitive bc he got them to buy into their roles. Those teams knew who did what on their teams and accepted it. I think this team was too used to relying on DV to do everything. For the past few years this was a one man team and I think with DV's minutes decreasing this team is starting to find an identity. They are starting to play more towards their strenghts and hopefully each player is getting familar with the role they need to play in order for this team to be successful.

I don't think he announced it specifically to take pressure off, but it appears to have had that effect. He was playing fast and loose against DePaul, and I expect that kind of play to continue through the rest of the season and into the NCAA tournament (eternally optimistic)!

Nah. I think Lance simply realizes he needs to get better. I also think Mick and his father played a big role in him deciding to stay another year.

Lance seems to really value what his father says and I think if his father told him to enter the draft, he would have.

I would assume that Mick and Lance sat down and had this discussion. Mick probably told him it would be to his benefit to stay at least another year and possibly cited a few examples (DeMarr Johnson/Kenny Satterfield)

I completely agree.

I would also like to add that Lance seems to really enjoy UC. He and Kilpatrick appear to be very close and almost inseprable (at least according to Killa's Youtube documentaries).

Let's keep in mind that Lance is 18-19 years old and not all kids are in a hurry to grow up. Stay at UC, develop your game, mature as a person and relax for another 9-12 months before basketball becomes your career. It makes perfect sense to me.

Oh, I'll also add that it brings a smile to my face thinking of our core and future returning for next season, plus the addition of Justin Jackson and Kelvin Gaines.

You couldn't pry Matt Leinart from the girls at SoCal. It's ok to stay in school and have fun. It's a rough world out there (although I hear Leinart is now doing ok).

Seriously?!?!?! Since WHEN? I hear your name as Melo Jr. from people that play basketball with you. 1 steal. 1 CAREER steal. That's the word flying down from USA Jr. (Canada).

"When "Wayne" is on your team, you feel like you have to guard your man and his, its rough."

- Steve Nash

I do agree with the other comment though.
