Lineup is a toss-up

Indeed, Cronin has used 15 lineups in 24 games this season. He hasn’t used the same lineup for more than three games in a row and that has happened only twice. In the Bearcats’ last 10 games, Cronin has fielded seven different lineups.

But the UC coach says there’s method to what some fans consider to be his madness.

I am OK with different starting lineups. It can create motivation for some players.

I actually like taking Yancy off the bench. Until he learns how to play D without fouling we need to be careful with him.

Gates is better off the bench, and so is Davis and Dixon.
