I feel like in years past we would've tightened up when they cut it to 4. Instead we ripped off 4 3s in a row. It's almost like we get annoyed instead of nervous when things tighten up.

we just have so many people that can score now. in the past if 1 or 2 guys were off, it was just game over.

Guys; we now have the 2nd best Kenpom defense of all time in the kenpom era (2002)

Which means, UC and Virginia have the two best defenses in a long long time

I was going to mention this as well. It is remarkable how good they have been defensively as of late (really since the Xavier game). Every player in the rotation is playing hard on defense, and none of them are liabilities.

The more I watch Trevor Moore, the more convinced I become that he should be in the starting lineup next season. A Broome/Cumberland/Moore/Evans/Brooks lineup could cause a lot of trouble for people on both ends of the floor.

I know the team was able to go and Check out the Clippers vs Memphis game last night which is pretty cool and Im also pretty sure they were able to practice at the Memphis Grizzlies practice facility.

Pretty sure that Nick Van exel had a hand in setting this all up.
Super cool!! Thanks for sharing! I'm just now reading through the thread, but did NVE talk to the team?

Right, what do they think they can actually beat us. Splash splash splash lol

Did anyone catch Coach Cronin on postgame with Dan and Terry? Or is there a video to a postgame presser?

Yeah he just loses the ball sometimes. Caupain did have it a lot last year. So I guess that's an adjustment. But still...he has had some weird ones.

Memphis got a ton of deflections it seemed like.

Don’t worry Cane will be blamed for everyone turnovers. Even listening to the radio broadcast of the game, they blamed Cane for that turnove.

I caught it. He was annoyed with the officiating but didn't say anything specific about it. At one point he joked with Terry, asking him if he was trying to get him fined. Terry was asking him about the officiating. 😂

Ha it's funny bc I purposely didn't read the thread or check the score or anything until I could watch the game. And the first thing I wanted to post about was the officiating. Then I read through the thread and everyone on here is thinking the exact same thing about that. Lol.

Wichita State game with UCF was a very bad called game against UCF and they did not need it.That scares me. REFS in the American are getting caught up in the home crowd.

I know I always hate to be that guy complaining about officiating. But 27 fouls, on a team that averages 16. Basically If you played more than 20 minutes you had at least 4 fouls (Moore had 2, Jenifer 3 in only 9 min). I'm sorry but our guys are smart players, our six guys who get major minutes aren't just gonna start fouling like crazy out of nowhere.

The guy on Cumberland's charge last night was sliding diagonally backwards. Might be the worst one they've ever called on him. Something needs to be done about that.

and it looked like the ref behind him was going to go with a block call and the ref under the basket got all excited to hop skip around and call a charge.

the guy was set, no doubt, 2 feet to the side of where cumberland was going. he realized it and jumped over at the last second. as obvious of a blocking call as you'll ever see.

I was also wondering if they tape post game. We should twitter storm Dan and wlw to podcast them. I always enjoy them, but often can't stay for it.

I missed most of the game d/t work, etc. I have CBS Sports Network, but as far as I can tell, they don't replay the games. Who was the star of the game?

I heard most of the post game, but since I missed most of the game I didn't follow whom Mick was referring to when he said - Mick said "obviously he dominated " or he was the star... Whom was that?? Cumberland?

Summary of what I could catch while in the car with wife and kids lol - Gary was waiting too long for double team to come I think he said. He said this was not a game where they took instructions well including Gary.

The scouting report had been told to them over and over by LD that they would try to take the charge (videos from LD). Cumberland and charges "there is only so many times you can tell someone something". (Terry was saying he needs a eurostep. Mick agreed, and said "how about a stop and shoot a 5 ft bank shot. Guys are on a big-time bball scholarship and I think they can make that shot".

Post game - JEIII with foul trouble - he needs to be smarter than that. Don't get yourself in a position where the refs can call that foul. He said that was not smart.

I was surprised at Jacob bc Mick just said on the coaches show that he may be the smartest player he has ever coached.
