According to @GoodmanCBS Michael Dixon (Mizzou transfer) has requested to talk to Cincinnati, Tulsa, Houston, and Purdue

Great question, im guessing since he did not play this year he would be eligible next year. With cash graduating and Gelawn still developing it would be a nice thing to have a senior point guard to compliment SK. However we are out of schollies and still recruiting some big guys. Seems like a long shot to me....

I wouldn't touch this guy with a ten foot pole. He's been accused of rape TWICE. Let him land someplace else.

I'd assume it would play out like wells from X. He would be eligible immediately. Like you don't know where he would fit schooly wise. Still need one if we get Lawrence or Henry. Do like your point about having a PG.

If he was convicted I could agree with you but accusations are not a reason to deny the kid opportunity. Unless there are some facts to establish he committed a crime I could careless about hear say.

If Crimedogg doesn't want him, he may know best haha. I would take him if it worked out. Accusations mean nothing if not convicted. See Ben Roethlisberger. Not sure how it would work out with schollies but if it works, I like our chances against his other options:rolleyes:

I'm in favor of giving guys second chances, but is the juice really worth the squeeze when you're risking the reputation of a University that is fighting a negative perception locally and nationally? UC has come a long way in a short time and I'd hate to see that ruined by some kid who thinks he's above the law.

Yeah I gotcha. And it makes sense. I don't think Mick will take that chance considering the pieces we already have. I just thought his reputation matched with your name was funny. :D

Mr. Dixon fought the law and he won...this time.
He was accused not convicted. So using your thought process since he has been accused of a crime we should avoid him because it may tarnish our image. LMAO!!!! Don't know what image your trying to protect but I kind of like innocent until proven guilty as a principle my university stands for. Oh, and just so you know Dixion didn't fight the law he was never charged.

All I'm saying is we're past the point of needing to take on guys with checkered pasts. I wish Mr. Dixon the best in his future endeavors, but I'm hoping they aren't at UC.

Why take a chance on a potential rapist? He could hurt somebody's daughter or sister.
Even if he isn't one, he's still a liability and obviously lacks commitment to basketball anyway. Every basketball player doesn't have these off court issues, he needs to get his shit together. Let him go elsewhere. No time to be farting around with someone who's head isn't on straight.

Nope, no thanks. Dixon is a hell of a player and I know he isn't convicted of anything, but people would still blast us in the media for it. We are doing just fine and lets keep it that way.

The kid should keep his head up-even if we don't take him, I'm sure Mike Brown would love to have him! Having a criminal record is part of the criteria needed to become a Bungle.

Innocent until proven guilty is only for the law. Public perception is completely different. The mere fact that it is mentioned in this thread proves that point. Ask Octavious Ellis or Dez Wells about innocent until proven guilty.
The second a person is accused of something in the media public perception makes him guilty until 100% without a doubt proven innocent, which rarely happens.
