That wasn't a negative comment at all. This is a thread about the new AD, and in my opinion making Mick feel appreciated and getting him the things he wants (improving bball facilities) is right at the top of the to do list

I agree 100%

Am I the only one that think it's kind of weird how desperate our school comes off about leaving the AAC? I like that they're constantly actively pursuing ways to possibly join the ACC or B12, but I wish they'd kind of just cool it with the media and keep playing well in our current conference. If our basketball team can keep it up and the football team can get back into the polls for a couple years with Gunner at the helm, I think it will take care of itself. Attendance and money will improve, as will donors. This whole "We need out of the AAC" just comes off as kind of rude and snarky to me.

Isn't it funny how no one ever mentions that Rutgers is leaving after this year, only Louisville? That was a terrible add by the Big 10. I don't really like that fact that it looks like we're begging to get in a conference and leave our current one, but what else can you do? This league is nice right now, but will take a major hit losing L'ville. It will still be a decent/ok basketball conference, but football will be terrible.

Well after a year or two of playing ECU and Tulane you might feel different and wonder why we were not being more aggressive to get into a new league. Good year for football, stadium reno is happening, and bbal is top 10, strike while the iron is hot.

Not a bad add by the Big 10. They wanted the TV market. Win win for both school and conference

Louisville did a lot of the same things UC is doing now during the last days of the Big East. It is all about energizing the donors with the hope that we could get out. The American is not sustainable long term however it looks like that is where we'll be...
