It is becoming apparent in the last few games what we are going to need to happen to be a good/great team. There are 4 players IMO who are going to be the keys to our succes or lack thereof.
The top 2 are SK and JJ. SK was always a no brainer. He always finds a way to put up 20 points. He's a gamer, tough, doesn't complain, lead by example guy. He's just an all around BB player. I think Cronin (or JJ himself) has lit a fire that we need desperately if we are going to go far. JJ has to continue to command attention down low and assert himself as he has been doing as of late. If SK is option 1A...JJ is option 1B.
The next two most important IMO are TC and TR and for different reasons obviously. TR for defense, rebounding, blocks, and assists. TC for fast breaks, FT shooting, assists, and clutch shot making ability. Both of these guys are good for steals as well.
So we have 4 players I think we need on the court. From there I don't care who we have step up. We will need Lawrence for back up minutes to JJ and TR...we don't really have any other good option so he may be #5. Between ST, JS, KJ, and GG I don't care who steps up as long as one of them does. We have a 9 man rotation for depth but we need a 6th man to get us to the next level. Right now I don't see that man as GG so I think it's down to JS, ST, or KJ...or some combination.
