Looks like a giant skylight on a typical Ohio winter afternoon :p

Beautiful. I wonder where the student section will be.

Also I wonder if the sight lines from those abysmal looking top seats are as bad as they look, though those sections of this rendering are muddy and flat, so it is hard to tell.

I agree with the upper level seats still look pretty poor. That is a def. Must that has to be addressed. I like the idea of our student section going vertical. That will look very daunting for opposing teams. Very exciting stuff.

Doesn't look that much different that it is today. Definitely doesn't look $70 million different, though I realize a lot of the change will be what you don't see. I personally don't mind the rafters but it seems most others do so if they keep those the way it is than I will be pretty disappointed. For $70 million it better be a significant improvement, especially considering they may reduce the seats into the 10k range.

Bite the bullet and drop the extra 10 mil to externally support the roof. I've seen some really cool buildings that do that and it would make the Shoe really stand out architecturally.

(of course I'm totally unqualified to know if that is structurally feasible or how much it would cost but it would be insanely awesome)

Not sure if anyone got an email asking to finish a survey. The survey was intended to gauge interest in a number of areas most interestingly the hospitality decks and the club lounges. The hospitality decks will be in the four corners of the arena and be like an open sports bar that is open to the arena with food and drink sales. The club area is at floor level behind the floor level seats. Passes are sold for the area per seat and one can stand around and talk or drink or eat. Many interesting concepts.

I just completed the survey as well! It is a very exciting survey in regards to all the possible options they are exploring! I encourage everyone on here who received a survey to take this. Damn this is exciting!

Are you guys referring to the one from around a week ago? I took that one, but it sounds like you're talking about one you received today, which I haven't.

This is a new one. I believe it just got sent out today. They get into a lot of amenities and inclusions details along with pricing. They also include some really sweet pics. I can forward you the email/survey if you want to give me your email address.

Is it kosher to share the pics?

Weird, the one I took didn't mention pricing at all. I thought it was funny that all the questions were about these state of the are luxury suites where most of the seats weren't even facing the court. I guess that's what it's about these days but it's funny how apparently so many people want to go to the game and not even watch the game.

Just DM'd you my email. I can post the pics when I take the survey (if it allows me to...I think the last time, it only allowed a person to take it once).

When you have enough money/corporate clout for suites you can pay people to watch the game for you.

Its all about the entertainment experience. It makes it a great experience for the fans, especially the casual ones. Besides the sight lines and bowl seating the amenities are top priority. Its nice to see UC taking initiative on this.
