Possible Seeds

Not sure, UConn was projected to be a 5 or 6 last year and went up to a 3 winning the Big East tournament. I think UC will go up from an 8 or 9 to a 4 or 5. Obviously a moot point if they get pounded by the Orange tonight.

When the committee looks at it, they will see 9 or 10 quality wins on UC's schedule. Teams "ranked" in the top 15 will not be able to match that. The committee will reward UC if they find a way to win the whole thing.

If this team does find themselves on the 7, 8, 9, or 10 line, some #1 or #2 seed is not going to be happy when looking at their draw.

UC up 12 at halftime on Syracuse. Something to note as well, if this score holds, that would also help in the seeding process.

I think 6 or 7 is the perfect seed, three possible games before facing a 1

UC should go no higher than a 6 seed. I truly believe we are a top 24 team. Those suggesting a 3 seed puts us in the top 12. We're not quite there yet. My heart would love us to be a 3, but my head says 6.

Linardi just posted his new bracketology. Did. Not. Move. Very surprised he still has us as an 8. He go out drinking last night?

Hard to believe we don't move at all.

I think most have us at the 6-7 line, which is about right.

We can probably earn a solid 6, maybe a 5 with a victory tonight.

24-9 and BE Tournament Champs should get a 5 or 6, IMO.

Lunardi has UC in Caps, meaning the auto bid, think he just forgot with all the shit he has going on?

I said a few days ago I thought 3 would be too high if we won it all and after looking at all the teams in line for a 3 I still think that. I think a 4 is where we would land. UConn had a much stronger case last year after making their run. Not only were they undefeated in non-conference play last year, they played a tough non-conference slate beating Michigan State, Kentucky, Texas and Tennessee.

Off topic, but I was thinking about UConn last year and how they managed to be very average, 9-9, in conference play and undefeated the rest of the season. I concluded it was Big East officiating. Kemba Walker was one of those "can-do-no-wrong" guards that officials love. He didn't get that love from Big East officials during the season but did in the conference tourney when they really loosen up the whistles.

Do you mean because he was a big name player? Just confused at what made him "can-so-no-wrong"
