Next man in---next opponent up. Although Purdue is a bottom feeder in the Big 10, I predict a loss for the Bearcats, unless Kiel starts. After last week's showing, I have zero faith. Wish I am wrong.

Our defense should be good. The offense can't be as bad as it was in the first half.

I don't see any reason to mess with the QB situation at this point. Moore shouldn't have to play looking over his shoulder.

I can't believe we are favored here. I would easily put money for Purdue. I think it's possible for a win but I seriously don't think it will happen. Turnovers are a huge concern. From the fan scrimmage a month ago to the first game, all I witness ia turnovers. Also, not sold in our defense at all. We can't get pressure on the QB.

I hope our players come out with some aggression. We always look so soft under Tommy.

I would love to be wrong.

Was a problem last year and 3 in the first game this year. Need to right the ship.

Amen, what will it take?!

One thing I've notice in the first game. A lot of our down the field passes were to the middle and left our WR's in a dangerous position. Its a recipe for a nasty hit or fumble.

timing hopefully get better.

Purdue is one of the bottom 20 teams in all of D1 football. They're coming off a 2-10 season so I'm not sure why anyone is surprised that we are favored here.

That being said, the way we looked against UT-M I'm not sure this year's version of the Cats isn't going to wind up joining Purdue in that group. It's still too early to rush to judgement, we should beat a bad Purdue team going away. If we lose this game I fear we might be looking at a 4-8 or worse season.

UC - 34

Purdue - 20

It's early, but this is an important game for Tuberville and the team. If they play a solid game with limited penalties & turnovers - that should result in a good early road win against a P5 team. That should give some confidence going into the UH game. Even if we lost the UH game, we'd be 2-1 going into the Miami game.

However, a bad loss could really send the program spinning with questions arising about the coach, quarterback and new coordinators.

I'm certainly hopeful that we see more of the team from the second half of the UTM game. Solid defensively with an offense that seemed to get better as the game wore on. It would make sense that they might have had some opening game jitters and may not have been in sync at the beginning of the home opener. However, they'll need to be much better against Purdue than they were against UTM.

We'll have to wait and see. I'm hopeful, but I do have some concerns.

Go Cats!

If anyone is going up to the game and has questions on Parking/bars/food, where to buy tickets just let me know. Have been up there quite a bit for football games over the years (dad has been a season ticket holder for years). Just let me know

Game Day

Important game today. If we play smart, hold onto the ball and play up to our ability; I think we win this fairly comfortably and go into the UH game with some momentum. If we make a bunch of mistakes, look sloppy and lose - it could be a bad sign for the rest of the season.

I believe this team has talent and can be a good team, but I don't know yet if our coaches can get the kids to play to their potential.

We'll find out soon.

Go Bearcats!

I agree. If we do not turn the ball over I think we win. That's a big if though.

Also, will we put pressure on the Purdue QB? Or will we play prevent defense and still be 3-5 yards off a WR?

Wow, gambling with the wildcat twice. Paid off but what does that say about the confidence in Moore? Next play, Moore should have been intercepted, then way over throws on third down.I'm struggling to see what Moore gives us that Gunner doesn't...
