Rivals new top 150 lists Shaq Thomas at 81 and Jermaine Sanders at 131. Of course Ge'Lawn Guyn was also listed as the 5th best post grad player as well by another site. Good to see some Cats getting love though I still think Sanders should be higher.

My feeling since last fall (and this could be misguided) is that our coaching staff considers Sanders to be our best incoming recruiti. That's what is most important to me.

It's also intersting that Jeremiah Davis fell off the map like he did, but it sounds like there is a good chance he could contribute right away also.

Mick felt it was vital to sign Sanders. Thomas probably has the most potential, but needs to get his head wrapped around what he needs to do to meet that potential.

JD suffers from the same questions 'Maine suffers from. He's not flashy and is he quick enough to guard athletic, fast, Big East guards? Plus, he was transitioning to the pg position.

I believe Guyn will be a really solid player here. He works hard, plays defense and is a pass first guy.

Ellis is the darkhorse to me. A former top 150 guy who has been through a lot and is somewhat lazy. Has some tools if he will work hard in the weight room and at improving his game.

JD dropped from I believe 136 to unranked. His descent in national scouts' eyes over the past two years has been very interesting to watch. We're talking about a kid that people were talking about as a high 4 star player when he was a sophomore. I think some will tell you the rest of the kids caught up to him, he's not fast enough to play PG, etc... but we could be looking at a steal with JD. Very excited to see him and Ge battle it out for the backup PG spot.

Sim Bhullar will end up at Xavier this year.

It sounds like Gary Harris is leaning toward IU. Are we even in on him any more.

And I don't think we are in on DSR anymore. Xavier fans think they are still the favorite, but I'm starting to doubt that.

I just did a cursory run thru of players with UC interest. There are more than that that aren't likely. Alex Poythress for one.

According to the article in the Enquirer after the Georgetown home game 2 of the recruits at the game called on that following Monday and told Mick they were coming to UC.

I don't believe this is true. I believe that the recruits called Mick and told him that UC was #1 on their list at that time. I don't believe commitments were given.
