Hearing Cincinnati will use Jaquon Parker at the four in spurts this year bc of his toughness. Could be the Bearcats' glue guy.

He better bring it then...

I wanted nothing more than to see him come out and play a great game last night.... it just didnt happen.

Don't know, I've been out of town, but the box score only showed him playing 9 minutes. At least the one I saw.

Parker did not look good yesterday. He short armed a couple of shots, and just didn't seem comfortable. Hopefully he regains his confidence, as he will play a big role this year and the Cats need a solid contribution from him. His injury came as he drove for a layup on a fast break. I hope he is back for the next game against NKU.

I just don't seeing Parker playing a "big role". I hope he can contribute but I see him getting spot minutes behind others.

He is the only guard on the bench with any experience. Guyn will spell Cash, but Parker needs to come in and give Dixon or SK a rest, or play serviceable minutes if they get in foul trouble. He won't be on the floor at the end of the game (unless someone has fouled out) but needs to be part of the rotation for the 2 or 3. I can see him getting 15-20 minutes per game.

I know some did not like Wilks, but the guy brought energy. He was all over the court. If Parker can bring that spark off the bench, minus the dumb passes Wilks made, I'll be fine with it

I really hope Parker just settles down. I think at this point some of the stuff is in his head.

On the reverse side, Mick has stated some pretty crazy things in his time at UC, is his whole Parker had the best offseason on the team factual or trying to get parker some confidence?

Parker did work hard this offseason. With only 4 low post players they are going to have to go small at times if someone is in foul trouble. Mbodjis return can't come fast enough. Prolonged time away may force Mick to keep Ellis active and he needs a season to sit, learn and grow physically and mentally.

All I know is he has a sprained ankle and will not play until fully healed.

He has been ruled out of the exhibition tomorrow and the regular season opener Sunday night. But he also seems to be moving much better than he was last week. Hopefully he can be ready in a week or two at the most. It would be nice to be at full strength for Marshall on the 25th and Georgia on the 2nd.
