Many are thinking it's basketball but not confirmed. Also thinking it will be our opponent in the Jimmy V Classic? Any guesses out there?

I guaruntee we play marquette, Mick and Buzz are too good of friends and each program needs the game. As long as Mick and Buzz are the coaches they will always have a non conference game now that they are no longer in the same conference.

I agree but some will never be happy with the scheduling for football or basketball. Babcock has a very difficult job and so far has done it at an amazingly high level.

Football is Sept. 9 2017

Basketball is in 2015-16 and 2018-19 seasons. Nothing decided (or announced at least) in terms of which teams gets home game first. If I had to guess, I would say UC gets first home game since they are not returning football game. Also, UC receives $1.2 Million for the football game.

Babcock has been impressive. I wish people would stop with the whole Mick doesn't schedule anyone good argument. Mick doesn't make the schedule, not sure people understand that. I'm critical of the guy but I'm not going to criticize him for something he doesn't control.

You are correct. And it's not like Mick has not publicly tried to get UK, OSU, IU, or Duke on the schedule. He has the same attitude that BK had here in that he will play anyone. Of course, it has to make sense for the University of Cincinnati and therefore it has to have a return game involved for basketball.

I spoke to Whit personally at a women's basketball game a day or two after his hiring and he specifically told me he would address the basketball scheduling, and he has followed through on that promise. If Mick was involved, then I appluad him also. This is all that we've asked for as fans. We're paying a lot of money for tickets and watching 9 or 10 games of teams we've never heard of.

Hopefully there are more announcements coming like this. This is exciting news! Bearcat fans must sell out 5/3 for this game.

I went to the Big House in 1999 (my freshman year at UC) for the UM-OSU game when my buddy, who went to Michigan, couldn't use his ticket. Some how his ticket was right around a bunch of sorority girls. Let's just say I wasn't complaining! I can't wait to go back and watch UC take down Michigan!

And yes, I was rooting for Michigan that game in 1999. I HATE Ohio State!

Awesome news! Mick's brother tweeted earlier today there are 5 good OOC games for next season and 3 more in the works for BB. Dont know what his definition of "good" is but I thought that was encouraging to hear. Definitely need some nice OOC games with the weaker in conference schedule.
