SMU fans rush the court. Let them enjoy this one, they never been here before.

Cincinnati is NOT at top 10 team, so we will definitely be more properly ranked this coming week. I'd guess somewhere around 12-15.

Yup, better now than the first round of the NCAA tourney....

UC needs to address their turnover issues. Every decent team they have played they have turned the ball over carelessly. It almost cost them a huge lead against UL, it was bad against UConn, and many others where they were able to squeak by but it killed them tonight. You can't give away free points when you are so offensively inefficient to begin with. Every time they would make a run they'd just make stupid turnovers and it would kill all momentum.

Hey what's all the students cheering for Cincinnati is still going to be holding that conference trophy at the end of the season. We beat them once and they beat us once they act like they just won the national championship. We are still 2 games up on them, are only worry is Louisville.

We did beat a top 25 team this week too. If we fall anything past 12 I would be disappointed. Glad SMU biggest memory this year will be our game. This won't matter come March. I thought how SMU finished the game was bush league. Trying to throw alley oops and show boating is lame when youre up 20. I'm not blaming the refs because we deserved to lose but they were absolutely bush league.

SMU fans were chanting "overrated." Now I want another shot at SMU in the conference tourney.

I'll never understand that chant. Why would you want to take away from your big win by saying the other team really isn't that good?

SMU's fans will learn how to win in due time. Remember they've literally never been this good, like ever...

Hopefully they beat Louisville at home in March.

Oh and this makes the home game against Louisville a must win if we want to control this league title...

I think this conference will be between UC and UL. The good news is UL has to play at SMU in March. Have fun with that Loserville.

I've noticed guys on this team love to pump fake shots, but they never use the pump fake for passing. With this team's athleticism, we could use the pump fake when other teams gamble for the steal and get back door layups all day.

Well said. I know theres alot to take from this game, but it may be best if Mick just tosses it in the trash and tries to forget about it...

Combined 3 points from our two point guards. Dismal.

Caupain has hit a brick wall. Hopefully he gets through it soon because UC needs him. Guyn just isn't very good. Good teams advance in March because of PG play and UC doesn't have it unless Caupain snaps out of it.

SMU was guarding the passing lanes so aggressively we should have had a thousand back door cuts yet we were content to try to pass around the perimeter. So frustrating...

Props to SMU, they played their hearts out. I really hope they arent just a St. Johns team who just randomly beats a ton of big teams only to get smacked in the Tournament.

The theme of this game was determined on the very first offensive play when Titus, instead of taking it to the hoop for a slam on the fast break, dished to JJ who was called for a charge (a correct call). The rest of the game was defined by sloppy play, excessive 3 pt shooting and mega turnovers. The freshmen played like freshmen. The whole team was simply outplayed. I can't believe this is the same team that beat LOU and UConn. And our illustrious coach should have been tossed for all his theatrics and profanity. As if arguing with the refs ever got anyone anywhere, anyway.
I can appreciate the final outcome as this team has to be emotionally drained (as well as physically). But, you still have to go back to your basics when the world is going to shit all around you. They didn't do that. When the team isn't executing well on D, go back to a zone and then regroup later. But our O was missing, as well. No penetration, just jack up threes.
So let's forget this one, go home, get some rest, and be thankful we have a week off.
Go Cats!

Dissapointing. Not shocking. On to the next one... Week off is huge.

TC needs to be better. Has started to slump...

G, Sanders, Shaq have to produce offensively.

Lawerence was bad tonight... He cant play extensive minutes, his defense is very bad.

Mick is going to do a lot of individual workouts this week. UC badly needs Troy, the Jermaine's, Shaq and Guyn to contribute in some form offensively. Take it out on Houston and then UCF before the HUGE home game against Louisville.
