Not looking good for them next year...

GoodmanCBS Jeff Goodman
St Johns trio of Amir Garrett, Jakaar Sampson and Norvel Pelle all didnt qualify for this year - per St. John's.

St. John's still hopes to get all 3 - Garrett, Pelle and Sampson - eligible for the 2nd semester.

Once again Mick was ahead of the game and now we know why Mick cooled on Sampson a while ago.

Also would be nice if Garrett just focused on baseball now with the Reds...

Isn't it nice that UC finally got the favorable ruling on eligibility for a recruit? Mick, the staff, and the compliance department do a great job doing their due diligence and they should be commended for it.

Just saw that on the ESPN ticker. It was already going to be interesting to see how well they would do with all those frosh now it's going to be even tougher. Those are some big names.

I do not believe the Big East accepts non qualifiers. So if they do not qualify for the winter I'm pretty sure they cannot attend the school. Those are some big names going the JUCO route.

Big East does not allow partial qualifiers. I am not fimiluar with these three individuals situation and if there is more too it or not.

Hearing inside RUMORS that Jakarr Sampson could be taking his services overseas! Let's wait and see....

There are also rumors of Sampson going back to Brewster for another year.

I think it all depends on what caused them not to qualify: courses, grades, test scores, etc.
