I will say this... Dion Dixon should not be allowed to shoot the three ball. He seems to have a nice little jumper, but dude gets an unreal amount of WIDE open looks and cant hit.

Had to wait to write about this game. I posted this was a game that scares you and at halftime I looked at my friend and said we're going to lose we have no energy.

I can't tell you how many times I yelled "drive!!" To stand and jack up that many threes when you're not making any shots is unthinkable. Gates should have camped out on the block. This game could easily have been won simply by attacking.

It is poor basketball iq and it was a poor job implementing a game plan. The way this team handles any type of success drives me crazy. The leaders of this team have got to demand effort from the other players. You can't do that when you disappear yourself.

Cash can be such a good point guard when he comes to play. When he doesn't he looks horrible. Dixon is a senior and you'd think he'd play his heart out every game. Gates has a shot at making a living in the NBA on body alone. Showing he can rebound and play tough D would ensure it.

This team has a chance to be really good. We've seen it even in the Oklahoma game when effort was there when shooting wasn't. The players have to understand that effort is the key to their season. If they don't get that the next two weeks will be brutal. I think this is a good wake up call and a good reminder.

Good assessment. They pretty much went away from what was giving them success. Which is driving, penetrating, and dish out. They reverted back to their old ways and became complacent with the 3. Like you said, hopefully this wakes them up, once again and realize good things happen if you can get to the basket.

I thought a lot of the shots they took were actually pretty decent open shots. But like you said when your not hitting them try taking it to the rack, get fouled, etc.

I felt like we had ALOT of open shots... Just kinda sucks that everyone seemed off.

Although I will say, I dont like Dion taking threes. His percent is down in the 20's and hes muchh better off the bounce.

The other thing that bothered me more than the 3's was SK and Park standing around on the last shot both having position for the rebound and just watching the shot, never leaving the ground in an effort to rebound the ball or box out the guy who tipped it in. At the least that should have gone to OT. The effort was sad at that point.

The way things are going everyone but Syracuse may finish 9-9 in the Big East although that is actually a mathematical impossibility.
